how long, is long enough?

so we have been home for just over a month.. and yet the discussion of WDW hasn't stopped.. we should do this next time, we shouldn't do that.. or how could we have cut costs even more.. and the most we can come up with is about $250 at most..

but my question is this, HOW LONG, is LONG ENOUGH? before you come back? a year? two years?

I guess that I believe that if you come back too soon, you lose the magic.. its not as special.. or you have "already seen this or that"...

so while there is a longing already in my heart to go back..

how long, really, is long enough?

It all depends on the person. There is no one perfect length. Some people claim that they want it to be as long as possible but when try it they realize that it was too long. Others will want it as short as possible. I guess I am lucky in that my wife wants it short. You have to find out what will fit your needs and wants.

It all depends on how much you love it! My hubby and I go at least once a year. The kids have always gone that often too. Last year, the kids wanted to try out a cruise and skip Disney and so we did. Now they loved the cruise and opted for that this year too, but
Hubby and I are going alone for our anniversary in a couple of weeks. we have not been in 15 months and that is the longest we have EVER gone and it was TOO LONG!

Our kids know every year there will be a mommy/daddy trip and a family trip. They get to pick either cruise or Disney and we will do the other alone. For them, they want every other year. (keep in mind they are 11, 14, 18 so the freedom of a cruise is quite appealling)

Now that we are about to leave, they are all saying they think next year will be time for Disney again. ThaT just means we will do cruise alone!

Some years we have gone twice in a year. For me and my hubby we never get enough.

I think it is just a personal choice. I have been as much as three times in a year and never lose that magical feeling I get from being there.

I still get teary-eyed each time I enter MK on the first day, and my Grey Goose Lemon Slush in EPCOT always tastes like the best I have ever had. And no matter how often I ride Soarin' I still try to kick the water and grab the oranges! :)

DH and I visit WDW every four years. We do visit DLR an average every two years. WDW is expensive--flights alone is outrageous for us. Plus, we don't want to get burned out on Disney.

If you are a true fan, then go at LEAST once a year! My family loves it so much, we sometimes go 2 times in a year (Once in the summer, and once the week after Christmas through NYE)!!!

For us, a year is the max. We go twice a year when money allows. It all depends on how long you can stand not being there and how fast you can get the cash.

A year! It never gets boring.

Well, personally I was there three times last year, plus once each in 2007 & 2008, so I can honestly say that for me the less time between visits the better!

I go to one of the parks at least once a week....and I'm still not tired of it.... :)

I could go that often as well. Im the kind of person that likes to grab a nice cold beverage, find a bench, and watch people try to figure out where they are going, get hit with strollers, wrangle kids, etc. It never gets boring.

I've found being there that often is a blessing and a curse. Yes, it gives you the opportunity to savor all the little details and to hit a park just for a ride or two, but it also magnifies the many short comings/problems WDW is currently plagued with.

I went 3 times last year, the last being in November, and I am going back in 5 days. I love it. I don't need to be on the rides or watching shows or eating with characters to enjoy it. I can just sit on a bench and take in the atmosphere at MK, or take a leisurely stroll around WS multiple times on one trip, and it never loses its magic. I just feel carefree, relaxed and truly happy when I'm there, not to mention all of the wonderful memories I have had... and it never loses its magic. If I could afford to go more, I probably would lol.

It really depends on the person you are, as others have said. I don't think there is wait time of when you need to go again. Go when your heart (and wallet) desire :)

I go at least once a year, and I was also afraid that overdoing it would make the magic disappear. But it's yet to happen! The truth is, there's always something that you haven't done. In all my trips, there's still so many restaurants I haven't tried and so many resorts I haven't seen. I've never even been to a water park yet.

You can pick different times of year to go, which will make things different. For example, going at Christmas or Halloween time provides a different experience with all the decorations & special events. One trip we bought the hidden mickey book & spent most of our time doing that, so that was something new. We try to pick a new resort each time, so we can see something new & magical. :)

I say there is no set time, but once a year works great for me. Once the year is almost over I'm dying to go back! We threw in a Disneyland trip this past year and that was awesome too.

My wife and I recently went 3 times in just over a year (13 months). We were at WDW in November and now we're going to do Disneyland for the first time in May so our trips lately have been about every 6 months. That feels just right for us. Every trip feels special yet leaves us wanting more, just how we like it. Once we have kids though, we know we won't be able to keep up with that pace...
