You couldn't find two more different restaurants hence you choice will depend on what you want. AP is a very up scale fine dining establishment WCC is a rowdy party with food. If you want quiet and elegant chose AC. If you like to yell Yee Haw during a meal WCC is where you want to go.

We've never eaten at Artist Pointe but from what I've heard it is supposed to be awesome! We have eaten at WCC twice and loved it both times. The cast members are great & the food is really good. They offer unlimited refills on their milkshakes and the shakes are scrumptous! But like the other posts say it can get loud! Let us know what you choose and how it was after you get back!

I have tried both, and for what it is worth, I felt that AP was worth the "extra" dining credit. The food at WCC was good, the food at AP was excellent.

What people have been saying about the difference in atmosphere is 100% accurate!

Whispering Canyon is perhaps the BEST place to go at WDW for breakfast :) Get the skillet and ask for ketchup :)

Now - Artist's Point. Was stunning up 'till late 2008, is (in theory and title) a Sig Dinning restaurant, and (just in my opinion) is to be avoided in favor of Citrico's at the GF. Why? Well, they WERE stunning - but they degraded their menu. No more filets, and the signiture Fresh Fruit Cobbler got tuned down to a classic (probably frozen) little pie dish :(

If you are at WL? Hang by the busses, ask the DTD and Animal Kingdom drivers if their next stop is the GF - it usually is. Works for about HALF the Epcot busses as well. This is a quick way to get to the GF from WL. To get back? Catch Monorail to MK, grab WL bus or boat :)

Sorry to hear about Artists point!! But im planning to do whispering canyon now while im visiting the WL :sohappy:

Chris, you KNOW we ALL will be waiting to hear about all your days and nights spent at the Kingdom...my family included! Esp. since you are going on about the places to eat at the WL! Have you also given a thought on Mickeys Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness?

I did not too long ago when it was recommended to me, but its not going to fit in on this trip as we tend to do one dinner show per year!

This year its Spirit of Aloha, next year though is up in the air :lookaroun

Interesting choice! I am kinda starting to put together a list of character meals, of course that can change in the amount of time that we have till we go and what comes up on the threads!

Two words: Bottomless milkshakes. With sprinkles! And they even come in a jelly jar, just like at Hoop Dee Doo!

WCC all the way! Oh and if you're going for lunch and you don't want the skillet, I definitely recommend the espresso bbq chicken sandwich. Delish.
