Made a Switch to buy4/get 3

Had a solo trip originally booked for 5 nights @ POR w/ free dining. Called today and rebooked on the buy 4/get 3. Had to push back a week which was no big deal, and decided on the counter service dining plan instead - I actually think that will work out better for me traveling solo, not as tied to dining reservations, just stop for a bite when I get hungry. Long story short - picked up the 2 extra nights w/ CS dining, and it's only costing me $50.00 more. AND, I was able to rebook my Candlelight Processional dinner from Biergarten to Chefs de France, which I am really looking forward to. I know I'll have to pay for that out of pocket, but I have enough points on my Disney Visa to cover the CS plan, and the CP dinner. So I'm very happy.

I also got the 4/3, but in January. Staying at the Polynesian. We'll have 2 rooms of people, and we split the costs, so that always helps.

Some day I'm going to get back down in December and see the Candlelight Processional. I would love to have seen it back when David Robinson was narrating. He's a class act.

I agree with you 100%. I actually scheduled most of my meals closer to park closing, so that I didn't have to worry about what park to go to during the day, since I am really impulsive in that respect. I spent more time worrying about making it from one park to another...and losing EMH time in other parks, that the whole experience was miserable. I even lost a CS credit because I'd spent most of one morning snacking...I was barely even hungry by dinnertime. Never doing the dining plan again. Granted it was free, but I hated being tied to dining reservations.

Sounds like you are going to have a fabulous time! I don't blame you for opting for a CS plan, I think I would be the same way..And eating alone is a lot different...Enjoy your time.

And, I just checked on the speakers for the Candlelight Processional, and I'll get to see Abigail Breslin. I just think she's the cutest little thing, so I am really looking forward to that.
