What would you like to see the following land in MK be used for?

So the land is behind FL and connects all the way around to Frointier Land. There is a small stream that seperates FL from it a bridge would have to be built.

Here is a link http://wikimapia.org/#lat=28.4228632&lon=-81.5815651&z=17&l=0&m=b The cross hair is on the section behind FL.

Id like to see the area behind the stream and FL be made into a proper DL style Toon Town.

Id also like the area closer to Frontier land to be made into Discovery Bay (land never built in DL) heres a link to DB if you dont know what it is http://www.ultimateorlando.com/archive/discoverybay/

What would you like to see done with these areas?

E rides and stuff.

 Seriously, I have no idea...What more could they expand on, in terms of a new land? I could see a land expansion, though...

And Discovery Bay? I don't think that's too possible, seeing that it's two main characters are over at EPCOT.

Well...one is. The other is in limbo. :(

Seeing as the main fireworks launch site is about 150 feet away from the crosshairs in your link, I very much doubt they'd build much of anything back there. The cast road that the new Fantasyland Expansion backs up against is the edge of the fireworks fallout zone. I don't see them building anything on the othhr side of that road unless it's a 100% enclosed ride show building.

The canal is a fire-break that surrounds the park, and also acts as a deterrent to anyone trying to sneak into the park.

Druing the fireworks the land could just cloese. In DL all of FL closes during the Fireworks.

WDW also closes off a chunk of fantasyland during the fireworks,it's not unique to DL.

That area back there is not accessible for use at this time. You can't build within X number of yards of the firebreak canals...and the available area there will soon be built up with the Fantasyland Expansion. Most of the land behind there also doesn't belong to Disney -- you hit the power plant area back there, which is also off limits to any type of development.

Whaa????? :veryconfu
Disney owns all the land behind the MK, all the way north to Reams Road.

And yes they close portions of Fantasyland, but the only things actually affected operationally are two shops. Snow White and Philharmagic just use alternate queue/exit setups, but can still operate.

And if they were to build an addition within the fallout zone and close it for fireworks, they'd have to do so well before the show to clear the Guests out in time. Can you imagine them spending the money to build an area with a brand new E-ticket that would have to be closed for a couple hours every day?

(BTW, does anyone know what they do with TSMM and the New Years Eve fireworks at the Studios? TSMM is smack in the middle of the Studios' original fireworks fallout area. Do they close TSMM, or do they use a launch location farther back?)

Honestly? Nothing. At least for a very long time.

There are existing expansion plots within the current lands that should be used to fill out the park before another large expansion after Fland.

There really needs to be a forum for all these posts about nothing but polls and wish lists... And for those who just want to post things to post(Or raise their post count!)... Or something like that... :fork:

You ever seen a 6" or 8" shell land there and then explode?

It ain`t pretty!

I've actually seen a 5 or 6" shell (do they only come in even numbers?) explode at ground level before, from about 30' away...

Ah, those good ol' days of college... (no, I wasn't the one who lit it off) I was very glad to have been taking cover behind some concrete steps...

The only way this land could be used is if they put it all enclosed in a building. Perhaps like Tokyo DisneySea's Mermaid Lagoon section. That's the only way I could Imagineer it could be done.
