If it rains for MNSSHP do they cancel the event for the night? I know that if it's too heavy they will cancel Spectro and Wishes on normal nights so do the same guidelines apply?

If there is some rain, of course they won't cancel the event, but if there are hurricane like conditions, the event will be canceled with no refund :(

I have never heard of them out right canceling a hard ticket event due to weather but I have heard of cases where they do hand out comp 1 day passes to those that complain. The fireworks and parade follow the same weather guidelines as they do on regular nights as in they can be canceled or modified due to weather.

No problem, hey, I see your gonna be at All Star Music next week. I'll be at the same resort from the 17th - 23rd. Keep an eye out for me, and be sure to say hi  BTW, are you going to MNSSHP on the 18th? I'll be there ... if there are no hurricanes :lookaroun

We've been twice when it was raining. They shorten the parade once and did not have the second showing. It also delayed the fireworks.

Ya, a couple years back, we went to the MNSSHP and we had torrential rains. It started raining after the event started but all it did was chase away Waterwimps and leave more room for those of us who didn't mind our makeup washing off. Plus, the kids love any excuse for not coming in out of the rain! If rain is forecast, just dress a waterbugs...

It was VERY wet on Oct 5th 2007. Some park effects wern`t working due to the weather, Mix n Mingle was more cautious and the headless horseman didn`t run. Aside from that is all went ahead. Just emptier.

If it's raining and you are set on seeing the parade, make sure to catch the first showing. They may cancel fireworks and or the second showing of the parade. Our trip last year, 2nd parade had no headless horseman, parade seemed toned down a bit as there was much less movement that I had been led to expect (dancing, gravediggers sparks, etc), and the last mix n mingle was canceled. But, everything else still went on. As PP's said, some times they will may offer compensation if the fireworks/parades are canceled, but you will need to ask.

That would be terrible. The HH is truly an awesome sight.

One time the parade, shows and fireworks were cancelled due to rain for MVMCP. They announced you could get another ticket if you mailed your ticket along with a copy of your drivers license to them. We stayed and enjoyed the rides in the rain. No biggy for us. My inlaws headed back to the resort though. They heard the announcement and told us about it. When we got home, we mailed all 4 tickets back and they sent us 4-1 day park hopper tickets. Got to enjoy the rides, plus got an extra ticket. They weren't just doing it for people who complained, but everyone. That was 6 yrs ago now.
