Is a Castle walk-thru possible?

TDL has just announced they are building a Cinderella walk-thru attraction in their Cinderella Castle following the success of the re-awakening of the Sleeping Beauty Castle walk-thru at Disneyland. Does anyone know if it is physicly possible to fit a walk-thru in our Castle?

Nope, plus TDL already had a walk through they closed and are now reopening.... less a walk through and walk under...

I love how you refer to it as "our Castle"!!

Unfortunately, I don't think so, unless it went to a different part of the castle since you can walk straight through already. But then there's room already taken up by the restaurant, Bibbidi Bobbidi, CM stuff and probably storage.

But I'd love to see the walk through happen one day!

Well... Tokyo's Castle doesn't have a restaurant in its castle, so it has the room for a massive themed walkthrough. WDW, on the other hand, has the Royal Table inside the Castle and probably wouldn't have the room for a walkthrough.

I made a reference to a possibility earlier. If the SW runaway mine train rumor is true than I think it possible that they plan to convert the existing SW ride into a Cindy walk through or ride by making it seem like a part of the castle. The queue could even start in the castle if they created a "tunnel" across to the ride building. But they could also put in an SB attraction as somebody suggested. I thnk the FL makeover could be very extensive. It would be the easiest area in the MK to redo. Tons of space.

Sorry for going slightly off topic, but, BOY! What I wouldn't give to have the dragon AA they've got below Sleeping Beauty's castle at DLP!

I can only imagine how awesome it is to see something so large (and kind of scary) living under the castle.

I really think it would not be that difficult. A themed enclosed arch/walkway could be built from the castle over to the SW ride building very similar to the arch that goes over the path between FL and LS. If it was enclosed it could be themed as an underground tunnel. You could get guests to think they are going underground by utilizing technology they have used before. Hydrolators(?) or the stretch room at HM DL come to mind. Then there is access to an entire ride building...but guests would have the illusion they are far under the castle. Where dragons may be!

By the way I mentioned the possibility of a Cindy walk through a few days ago for WDW. Yesterday OLC announced they are building one at TDL. Weird.:lookaroun

It might be possible. After all they did turn storage space into the Dream Suite. Right? After all (almost) anything is possible at WDI.

Sounds like a great idea! Maybe they will consider this option before they invest in another brilliant attraction/show like the new TL Stitch fiasco...

The new Sleeping Beauty Castle Tour at Disneyland, in all it's 1950's-meets-the-21st century brilliance and charm, is actually contained in a very small, winding space.

If they can make it work so fabulously at Disneyland, then surely there is plenty of room in the bigger WDW Castle, winding around and over the restaurant space.

The tough thing would be the wheelchair accesibility. At Disneyland they were grandfathered since the original walkthrough opened in 1958 and officially they just remodeled the original attraction. They do have the rather lavish "wheelchair room" where you can view a presentation on the tour you would see if you went up and down all those stairs. But that's not an option for a brand new facility built from scratch.

Still, I have always been surprised that there isn't an attraction in WDW's Castle. It's the only Castle without an attraction in it, except for Hong Kong Disneyland. But WDW has the biggest Castle, and the least to offer attractions-wise.
