Alternatively to get a high up view of Disney you could go on Summit Plumit.
Summit Plummet is 120 high whereas the balloon will be going around 300 feet high.

Only those who haven't gotten over the whole PI closure. Personally I think it is one of the more inspired ideas Disney has had recently. It will be a massive hit and will be seen as a key element in propelling the DTD redesign.

Yeah, I don't get how this is a bad thing. They are adding an attraction. This has nothing to do with the PI closures.
I pity whatever goes into all the now closed club space on PI. There are some that won't ever give it a chance, because they refuse to let go of the past.
I liked PI as much as anybody, but I guess I'm not willing to hate everything blindly that goes into that space.

The only thing I don't understand is the characters part. Is Goofy going to be in the balloon for your "flight" with you?
I do think this will provide some really spectacular views and the chance to take some great photos.

I am trying to figure out the characters part too. The only thing i can come up with is the guest will be considered a character? :shrug: If so, makes no sense. Unless the balloon will have Disney characters on it.

I love the idea of characters on the balloon, I just hope it is a bit more detailed than the concept art. The color scheme is lacking too IMO.

I agree with you. The color scheme doesn't do anything for me. And the characters are not very detailed. But, before bashing it, I will wait to see what it looks like in person.

This may not be a bad idea, but how is it a good idea? THis is cheap amusement park kind of stuff for me.
Plus does it take away from what Disney does to try and hide the off-stage elements? Look kids it's Cinderella's Castle, and a Giant Parking lot by Space Mountain!

I agree...I really can't get too excited about this new attraction. The only way I would care is if it was a balloon ride piloted by the world famous aviator Hathaway Brown:animwink:
