Rides in the Wrong Park?

Considering each of the four parks and all of the attractions in them, are there any that you think would probably work better in another park?

For example.....I've always felt that the Jungle Cruise would be more appropriate in Animal Kingdom than Magic Kingdom. Maybe, too, the TTA would be more suited in Epcot's Future World, or at the very least it would merit its own tweaked version there, if not removed from MK.

The reason those rides are in MK is because it was the first park built followed by Epcot, Disney-MGM/Disney Hollywood studios and finally Animal kingdom in 1998

Monsters Inc. = DHS
Finding Nemo = MK
Three Caballeros = ?
And of course COP at Epcot

Those are the main ones that I can think of right now.

I think plussed TTA in EPCOT would be great. I could cover the whole park and have several stops like the train in MK.

I wish that Alien Encounter had originally been in DHS.....I think it would still be there:cry: SGE just grosses me out (hot dog burp:hurl:) instead of freaking me out like AE did.

For sure Monsters should be in the Studios.

Epcot has definitely lost it's definition of Future World. TT, M:S and everything else is "Current World".

Nemo should probably be in the Studios too, but hey, they had to build something worth seeing at AK. :p

CoP at Epcot of course. Monsters Inc. maybe at DHS but with the coaster going in maybe not.
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin: Any Six Flags park
Another version of TTA at Epcot Future World
Can't really think of anything else.

Maybe they were thinking of the Finding Nemo attraction at Disneyland and thought Finding Nemo would be good at MK too. Maybe....

Maybe. It just seemed odd because both are based on Pixar animated films, so what is it about each that makes them belong in the specific parks mentioned. If Monsters, Inc belongs in DHS because it's a movie, then wouldn't Nemo also belong there for the same reason? :hammer:

Jungle Cruise is unfortunately an MK classic or else it would be a great addition to the Animal Kingdom. I'd be sad if it moved though, just because it's a classic. It would be like moving PotC or Haunted Mansion.

Plus, if they built the Jungle Cruise today to the standards of say, Everest, then instead of lush deep dark tropical jungle, they'd have a few sparse trees (kind of like the "forest" you ride through at the beginning of Everest), and you'd only get a brief glimpse of one of the elephants.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin: Any Six Flags park

Then you could include: Walt Disney World Railroad, Teacups, Dumbo, Triceratop Spin, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular (Six Flags used to do Batman Stunt Shows), Astro Orbiter, etc. Just because Six Flags doesn't theme their rides to the level (if at all) Disney does doesn't make them cheap rides.

The suggestion that Jungle Cruise belongs at Animal Kingdom is ridiculous. The ride, as it is today, is perfectly suited for the Magic Kingdom. Perhaps if it remained the serious ride that it was intended to be (Walt wanted REAL animals) then I would agree. Carousel of Progress fits fine in Tomorrowland and would look too retro in Future World. TTA should be added to Future World.

But really, some of the quibbles about Future World or Tommorowland attractions being "todayland" would be true no matter what. They are limited to the technology and knowledge we have TODAY! Disney should rename Future World to something more appropriate. As for M:S being "todayland"...well we are still years away from landing a man on Mars (which is futuristic) so it fits in perfectly. Test Track...if it focused more on the design process in the pre-show rather than the assembly process then I would see it fitting in better.

I would say:

Finding Nemo: Studios (it could replace Beauty and the Beast)
Beauty and the beast: Magic Kingdom is more fitting
Voyage of the Little Mermaid: Magic Kingdom is more fitting
Monsters Inc: I agree it should be at the Studios

Well I love having Finding Nemo at DAK and Beauty and the Beast at DHS... So there!
You have the right to your opinion and so do I. I just think they could have done something more with The Magic Carpets of Aladdin seeing that we already have Dumbo. It seems a little more plain. Dumbo is kinda "iconic" for the Magic Kingdom and Fantasyland. Aladdin doesn't do anything for me.
Even though Astro Orbiter is the same thing, it's different because it's elevated, and Triceratop Spin is the same deal with The Magic Carpets.
The Railroad is also iconic with the Magic Kingdom because of the station being the first thing you see when walking up to the park. With it going through Splash Mountain and by other attractions, it serves a purpose.
Rock n Roller Coaster is a roller coaster like all Six Flags parks has but they could never produce something as great before Disney could.
If you read around you'll learn that Indiana Jones is way outdated and most people do feel it should be removed or replaced with a roller coaster also themed to Indiana Jones.
Plus I never said anything about a ride being cheap so I don't know where that came from.
