Where's Wall-E?

Did anyone who has gone recently happen to take note of the Wall-E stuff in the parks? I found a thread here showing a photo op and exhibit in the Art of Animation from July and wondered if it's still there and if the lack of merchandise was still true.

I know...I know...Wall-E merchandise is totally against the message of the movie and its mere existence is ironic. That doesn't seem to bother the Disney Store though. :P

Also...I have to work at getting my daughter to stop falling in love with obscure characters that are scarce at the park and to jump on the Cinderella, Pooh bandwagon.

I have wondered the same, why not a few more Wall-E things? I always figured they'd have some sort of robotic character, seems like it would be easy enough.

One was made, but some issues came up with it. Long story short, do not expect to see WALL-E out doing meet & greets anytime soon.

Edit: Watch the video. :)

What were the issues? That is such a vague statement. The dino at AK has toured many of the parks. The muppet machine thingy has toured many of the parks. This wall-e machine did a few stints outside the parks in the US and vanished. He is a theme park attraction in himself, why would they not put the money behind keeping him running? Someone back me up here...

Agreed in full! Like I said, the Miami exibxit I attended was great. WALL-E was known to crash however and actually did so on GMA.:dazzle: That is most likely the reason he is not in the parks.

Shame....He would be great in EPCOT.

I don't know the exact reasoning other than he was highly unreliable. Considering how much time he would be expected to be on stage at the parks, it was determined that it wouldn't work. At least that is what I read somewhere.

Now why was he unreliable? I don't know. You'll have to call Glendale for that one.

There's WALL-E merchandise out there. I saw a good bit both in the store near Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground and the one near Animation.

Ah, yes. The shop near Animation makes sense--it has a section of merch for each of the major recent films (except Bolt... ). The one near HISTK...a little more random. IIRC, there was a lot of Star Wars/Star Tours merch, along with a section of Cars and a section of WALL-E.

Ahh...Maybe WALL-E will be a bit more prevalent in the area? One can hope.
