Just got back from WDW and want to thank all those that work at the Main Street Confectionery for giving our son a special memory.

My DS won us a competition for a vacation in Florida and therefore when we went to WDW he was given a "Honorary Member of WDW" badge to wear from Guest relations. Anyhow me and DS popped into the Confectionary shop whilst DW and the 2 girls were queuing to meet Pluto. Whilst we were in there we were asked why he was wearing the badge and explained that he had won us the vacation. The staff then chose him to Design the "Apple of the Day". He then picked 3 toppings to put on the Chocolate apple and was given it to keep, his chosen apple was then reproduced 5 times to be sold that day in the shop. His name was also displayed on a sign in the shop for the rest of the day stating that these apples were his design. My DD's then turned up and were also given sweets from the staff.

Later on that day we returned to the shop and saw the mentioned sign and the apples on display. Again my 3 kids were given Lollipops from the staff.

It was really fantastic and made our day !!!!

Aww I love the Confectionary staff. It was prolly the kitchen ladies who are SOOO sweet. I think I remember a friend who worked in the kitchen telling me about the apple thing. I never saw it since it is normally done in the morning when its less crowded and I worked at night. When I was there for my birthday in July my friend was getting food from the bulk counter and the lady (who i didn't know) saw my birthday button and gave me a chocolate and sprinkles covered marshmellow.

that sounds like so much funn..
to post pictures: this might be the hard way, maybe someone knows an easier way but, go to where you would post a message, then at the top there is a little icon with a mountain on it, this is the insert photo option, then you can just upload photos!

I defintally look forward to seeing pics from your trip!
