Epcot Character Changes

Some Epcot character info:

-Starting this fall Chip 'n Dale will no longer be appearing at Epcot Character Spot. No word yet if they will be placed at another location. Sometimes they appear at International Gateway.

-Donald Duck will be moving into Character Spot taking Chip n Dale's opening.

I don't think Jose Carioca and Panchito have been out very much with Donald, so I doubt they'll be out by themselves.

I miss the DCOH bus. I also miss dragging tourists out of its way as they neglect to listen...

As much as I adore Panchito and Jose, they're a waste of valuable mouse height characters, hardly anyone knows who they are or cares. And I'm sad to see the munks go, it makes no sense to cut them considering all the positive attention they get. I'd love to see them back in China in their hats and jackets which was freaking adorable but I doubt that's why they're cutting them.

I would love to see Chip n Dale in those overlays. I think moving Donald to Character Spot has something to do with wanting to give him more exposure. Character Spot has been everything Epcot mngt wanted it to be.

Was Three Caballeros as successful as The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad? Personally, I welcome the character additions where applicable, and I feel that Chip and Dale would have been forced into Mexico.

Maybe we'll see some new Disney characters at Mexico.
The previews for this were on this weekend when we went to see Wall*E.

New Disney movie coming-

Last year I managed to see Chip and Dale wandering around the International Gateway area (near the bridge). I thought it was neat to see them walking about, even for a brief moment! :)

Actually I think they're popular now more than ever! With the re-release of the Three Caballeros on DVD, kids are now seeing it for the first time. My four year old son has saw the DVD and knows who those characters are now! And he was quite excited to find out that those are the characters in the middle of the pool at the AS Music. I'm sure he would be excited to see the "real" characters in Mexico too!

As far as Chip 'n Dale leaving... I can't understand why they would do that!?! I think those guys are just as popular as ever! I'm glad I have an ADR at the Garden Grill b/c at least we're garenteed to see them there!

Yes we used to really enjoy breakfast there also.
Then they discontinued it.

Now they are doing away with lunch.

Someone should do a business study on the Garden Grill, with this main question in the forefront:
"How can a restaurant that has thousands of people passing within 50 feet of its entrance everyday not make it?"

Every person going to or from Soarin' goes right by the GG.
