Are video cameras allowed in the Pleasure Island clubs?

I know from general observations that many PI club patrons take videos with there cell phones and no one seems to mind, so I'm guessing that maybe video cameras may be allowed as well.

The main reason why I ask is because I would like to really capture on video the feel of each club before all the clubs close on September 27, 2008. It would be nice to preserve some memories on tape and to share it on youtube with others.

CMs let me know what the policy is and whether or not it's strictly enforced.

I really doubt that the CM's are going to do anything if they aren't allowed, you lose a bit of motivation to follow through on those types of rules when your job is being taken away.

Have videoed many times in the AC, never have been asked to not do it. The best part is my youngest son without even trying got one of the characters to break chracter, classic and her comment was, maybe he should write my material.

As far as I'm concerned, video cameras are allowed, as long as you don't have external lighting or anything obstructive. I can't see why you couldn't bring it in and tape.

I must beg to differ...

About 3 or 4 years ago I was in the BET club video taping and I had 2 security guys come up to me and tell me I must stop recording or they would take my tape.

You're the only person I've ever come across to have that type of encounter. One thing to bear in mine though, WDW Security cannot touch your property, so those were baseless threats.

Well its enforced at Mannequins and Motions. There is a sign outside of PI that says that Videotaping is not allowed in any club.

But ive never seen it enforced at AdvClub.

Again, I've yet to see it happen... and I've done it plenty of times.

A sign in itself is not enforcement.

No, you've heard the tale about how someone we know got nailed with a tripod in Mannequins about 4 years back. They were polite about it but he was asked to leave

Yeah, I know who you're talking about. Personally, I wouldn't bring a tripod to ANY club for a multitude of reasons.

No, but I bet the kid at six flags could use a do over on not paying attention to the signs. I think they post the signs hoping that people will enforce themselves to follow the rules. Now if you never see the signs then it is a misunderstanding.
