Don't know the reasoning. Took this pic in early May. I didn't even notice the steeple missing. If you look, tho, it doesn't look like it's permanent...

i think they are waiting for it. it takes a while to clean and fix it, or even to make a new one. i think it should be back sometime. but i did notice it, and thought that the reasoning was what i wrote

I think they would just be fixing and cleaning. If they were to have built a new one, I am sure they would have built it before hand so the building wouldn't be without it for a long time.

It is possible however that they 'discovered' that it was in worse shape than they thought once they began the renovation. Internal termite damage, wood rot... but alas, we may never know. It is all to often that we the people have no idea what is going on behind closed doors at City Hall.

Is it wood or fiber-glass (like the castle)?

If they are making another one they may have to take pieces from one to put on the other, that to me makes sense. Just to keep it looking the same, and tradition.

Right there with you! I remember :lookaroun in 5th grade using the Apple for the first time.

When I was in 5th grade, the only Apples around were for eating!

Computers were as big as a room (as in the computer room in SpaceShip Earth).:ROFLOL:
