I'm watching this news story right now.

I know someone who looked out his back window and saw a bear in his backyard. Now, this was NOT out in the country, but in an area which is generally considered "city" if not actually downtown. So they are around , and do stray into populated areas from time to time.

My kids would be excited and want to go up to it and i would have a fit where there is a baby bear there is a mommy bear and she has to be looking for it.

I've had bears only a couple of feet from my house, stealing our bird feeders.
