Hello!
We (me, 24, DG 23) just got back from the World late last night after a brief three-night stay at the POP. Sorry so long, in advance, as my brain is mushy and I'm writing in a Disney-depression stream of consciousness while at work.
Friday:
Landed early (yay!), checked in to Pop, stayed in the 50s area. We walked around the resort and took pictures of the unfinished Legendary years (will try to post later). Then we hopped the bus to the Magic Kingdom to eat at the Contemporary Resort's Concourse Steakhouse for the last time. Food and service was okay. Then we rode the monorail around before heading in for the evening. The "DVC Tower" is really coming along.
Saturday:
Started out at Animal Kingdom for morning EMH. We rode Kilaminjaro Safari first and we got a great picture of the lazy lion. Next was Everest - I'm not quite sure about which effects are considered A and B but there was no mist at the loading area and the Yeti didn't seem as scary as usual. Next we headed to Dinosaur. Unfortunately our cast member friend Caroline who works in the gift shop and we see every trip, wasn't working. Anyone else know her? Festival of the Lion King was next and the monkeys missed a few flips. It was only the second show of the day though. Ate at Flame Tree BBQ after meeting Eeyore and Piglet (I know - he is hard to find!).
Headed over to MGM, I mean, DHS and got to ride Toy Story Midway Mania. The waiting line is awesome! So creative! I'll try to post pics later of this too. The ride was also great!!!! I had so much fun with this and it really "ups" Buzz Lightyear in MK. In other DHS travels, we saw Fantasmic, the Beauty and the Beast Show (and saw 4 for a dollar, a quartet perform before the show started - they were great!), rode GMR and Star Tours. There are attractions in this park that could definitely use some love.
Sunday:
Morning EMH at Epcot. No Figment meet and greet. Of course, I knew this in advance thanks to this board  but I wanted to ask anyway. I went up to the CM at the entrance to JII and he said to tell Guest Relations that we want Figment back. He also said that there are plans to refurb this ride! We rode JII anyway and afterwards, I took pictures of the "hidden" staircase and elevator to the second floor. Again, I'll try and post these later. I was excited to see it and I think the CMs were watching us, making sure we didn't try to sneak upstairs. After all, who takes pictures of a staircase??
Did Nemo and MS before heading over to WOL for the F&G festival. Got to meet and dance with Daisy Duck as well as sneak around and take pics inside the forgotten pavilion. It's like stepping back into the 80s but I'll tell you that I think they did a good job of covering up their forgotten attractions. Walked around World Showcase and of course had to see the American Adventure show being it was Memorial Day weekend. Visited Mickey and Pluto at the Disney Visa meet and greet. Rode SSE for the first time since its refurb and I agree with the consensus on this board that the descent does not do it justice. The face pictures are neat though at the end, but is that all they could really come up with??
Rode the monorail to MK for evening EMH. Ate at LTT and I was pleasantly surprised with the rolls, salad, meat and dessert they served.
Overall crowds weren't too bad and I think the longest lines we ended up waiting in were for meeting characters.
Monday:
Swam in the POP pool, checked out and headed to DTD. Went to Fulton's for lunch and shopped around before catching ME and the flight home
Hopefully we will be able to go back at the end of July! Do you think that is too soon?? Oh, and we did get a bounceback offer in our room but the dates don't work for us. If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them.
