The DW wants to eat at a French restaurant in EPCOT, but I see mixed reviews about both. What do you guys think:

Le Chefs de France

OR

Bistro de Paris

Bistro de Paris is a more upscale restaurant compated to Chefs de France. So you need to think about the level of food you want and how much you want to spend.

We enjoyed Les Chefs de France last December.
Good food and good service.
Our waiter was named Stephen. He is from Le Bourget, which is where Charles Lindbergh landed when he flew across the Atlantic.

Very good and interesting meal.
I recommend the 'bouef' and the scallops (forgot the French name for them).

I think you would enjoy Les Chefs de France and not have to spend the extra $$ for the higher priced restaurant upstairs.

Have fun.

As has been said, both are nice restaurants and the offerings are very good. If you are looking for the more intimate experience, then your choice would be Bistro. For a nice meal in a slightly crowded room, Chef's is just fine. Wait staff has always been personable and enjoyable when engaged in conversation.

If your DW wants a romantic dinner at a nice French restaurant you better choose Bistro de Paris.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Chefs de France it has good food and a fun atmosphere. It however is very noisy and has a lot of hustle bustle. That is part of the fun atmosphere but when I hear my DW asking to eat at a French Restaurant in EPCOT I think romantic not fast and fun.

If you want an intimate setting, superb food and wine, and super attentive wait staff then you should go with Bistro. The only thing is you will pay for the service. Including wine with the different courses and dessert I think my DW and I had dinner for about $175. Well worth the cost. It was a beautiful romantic dinner.

Good luck with your decision!

We haven't been to Bistro, but were were surprisingly very pleased with Chefs de France. Everything we ordered was VERY good, expect for the seared tuna. The Lamb was exellent! And the wait staff made it rather memorable... (let's just say DH wasn't a fan of the French male waiter who lingered a little too long over me...)

Bistro de Paris may cost you two credits.
Check.

:)

Yes it is.

As the noise and bustle of Chef's was mentioned before....
We have a long running joke that whenever we are dining at Chef's there must be at least one instance of hearing a plate or glass breaking on the floor. (one of the down sides of having a tile floor!)

I would eat at Bistro De Paris, and time it such that RoE starts right around when you finish your entree. The lights will dim in the restaurant, and you'll have a second story view of the show. I think your wife will appreciate how romantic that is.

I used to think Bistro hands down, but we ate at both on our last trip, and Bistro seemed to have dropped off a bit. Maybe it was just a bad night. Chefs, on the other hand, was wonderful, with the possible exception that the waiter spent the entire meal staring at my wife and never looked at me once. That's the French for you, I suppose...

I also do not that that Bistro is on the DDP (check as you make you ADRs), so it would be OOP. That said I agree with other posters that it is a more refined, relaxed upscale dining experience so it's really more about what you want. What I like most about Bistro is that the menu really changes often, so it's almost like a new place every time I get the chance to go. We've also enjoyed Chefs de France whenever we've been, so don't think you can go wrong either way. FWIW.
