Spring has Sprung with Magic Friends

1. I agree there are differences - CP is seasonal, Disney is year round. CP has a huge reputation for being the coaster capital of the midwest. Which is great if you're a coaster person. We aren't - we would head more toward the kiddy areas, and CP has always struck me as geared more toward older kids, than the younger ones. King's Island is more of an Ohio attraction, true, but the Nickelodeon fans love the kids' area of that park. So if we have to pick it will be King's Island.

2. It's just...different parks for different people, different interests, y'know? I just find it a shame, in the articles I read today, that people can't just say, 'Disney isn't for me'. They have to mock it, scoff at pixie dust and dreams come true and all that. So maybe in the real world that doesn't apply. But when I go to Florida I am doing my best to shut the real world out.

To the second, I wholeheartedly agree with all statements.

To the first... well, no disagreements, but CP's getting one of the kid's areas revamped, redesigned for this season... basically the only similarity is the former site location. Not big enough a draw, I'm sure, but still something to keep in mind.

Especially true is the older kids thing. You tell people you're going to Disney and they either look at you funny or say something derogatory. When you tell 'em about the Point, they're jealous. Go figure.

Now, I've never been to Kings Island... the other 3/4 of the family aren't coaster people anyway (and you can only imagine how frustrating that is to me sometimes)... but that's why my extent of opinion can only go so far in that respect.

Now, about that trip to Kings Island... I have a certain Platinum Pass that allows for free parking at any Cedar Fair establishment... :lookaroun

Well, that's good to know...my DH grew up loving the Peanuts/Snoopy, so maybe someday we'll go. It just isn't worth $43 to me unless you really love coasters. So in your case, it's a deal!

Oh, the things I could write about if I had a blog...

...Wait, they don't censor those things, right? :lookaroun

^Hey, I don't even pay the $43. I pay $140 this year to get entry to all Cedar Fair parks (19, including separate water parks) with free parking, from May to October. Can't beat that. :D
