OPERATIONAL UPDATES
  • The American Film Institute Showcase: Closed for Refurbishment [April 1, 2008 to April 30, 2008]
I don't know if people go crazy over this... I do like the villains but it's been their almost over 4 years now...I would like a nice change...Hey it would be better if they just put the Narnia thing here and have a walk through! :) And we can replace the Narnia next to TSM with something else...just a suggestion...

Hmmm wonder what they are doing for a whole month?? is that long enough to do anything... Probably just fix it up...you think??

A showcase on special effects would be cool. I know I'd spend a lot of time in there for that...not that I didn't spend a lot of time checking out some of the villains (the first one or two times, anyway). I would definitely love to see an update in there. Oh, and an update for the Backlot Tour would be appreciated, too.

Well...I wanted to be a little nice to it..lol...THey should replace it with the hit shows of ABC instead??

Maybe its to celebrate its 40th anniversary...but wasn't that in 2007?? Hmmm Interesting to see what happens...

Can't wait to see something new here. A great hidden/underappreciated gem in the parks. I always love looking around in there.

wait isnt the pixar meet n greet going directly across from Toy Story Mania?
so hopefully this is not whats going in where the AFI is, it should remain a showcase of some kind, we dont need a meet n greet on every corner like starbucks, no offense to starbucks lol.:wave:

Wait, is this by the exit to the tram? I can't believe I'm not even sure where this is (I haven't been on the backlot tour in years)...

...the last time I was back there, they were showcasing props from Evita and Flubber. Guess it's been awhile :o.

I'm so glad I will be at DHS on the 31st to see the last day of this. I love the showcase. I promise to get pics and a report on the showcase.

Yes, its right when you get off from the backlot tour....they have changed out the villains through out the year...like adding the Butler Ramzes(sp?) from Haunted Mansion, and adding Cpt. Barbossa...

I remember one time they had so Batman villains in one section and a man saw the Mr. Freeze outfit...and he said that was the best role for Anorld in his career...I guess he never saw Terminator or True Lies???:lookaroun

That show has been off the air for....9 years, I just checked Imdb. :ROFLOL:

I was just watching Season 7 where Randy gets way to serious and isnt as funny(I think this was Johnathon Taylor Thomas last season or next to last)and the show just kinda started losing its edge.(I loved this show by the way)

A few years back I mentioned that to the CM who was working the Millionaire cart (they had several racks of Home Improvement shirts!). I joked with her about it, but she told me that she sells (at least back in 2005 when this happened) a ton of them. Still, once Superstar Television left, IMO, it was time for those shirts to go :lol:

i don't know i love the villains but I want to see some change maybe a musical movie showcase or a villains and heroes showcase half heroes hlaf villains and have a documentary on both
