Safes in All Star Movie Rooms

Hey,
Can anyone tell me if the safes in the rooms are big enough to put a laptop in. I would like to take my laptop with me so that I can down load pictures from my camera but I want a secure place to leave it when we are not in the room.
Thanks

They are not large enough for a lap top, but, they are great for your reg. camera, cash, i-pod and even the kids Nintendo DS.
My sis brings her lap-top all the time and has never had a problem. Maybe you could just bring a lock for your suitcase (you can't lock it on the plane) and when you leave the room just put the lap top in there and lock it.

While the safes are a decent size, they are not tall enough to hold a laptop. I think they may have a safe behind the front desk where you can leave it but that may be a pain everyday checking it in and out. Call the resort directly and ask them what they reccommend.

We stayed at the All star Music and took my daughters and our computers. No they do not fit. But we put our wallets etc in there as we were wearing laynards with our room card a charge card for purchases and our res numbers and place and time so that we had it all with us. We never had a problem I just put them in our suitcase and put clothes on top and then under the sink. She never messed with it and you could put a lock on the suitcase if you really feel scared about it. We were there 7 days and not a thing was missing not even change tht had fallen on the floor. Have fun we have to wait until DEC again but it is the perfect time to go...

We've never had a problem with anything missing from our rooms, in all the years we've stayed at Disney resorts! I would advise you to put your laptop in one of the dresser drawers, covered by clothing, if you're really worried about it - or even lock it in a suitcase, if your luggage locks.

Honestly, it would never occur to me to worry about a laptop in the first place, though.

Have a great trip!

When i would bring my laptop for a trip to Walt Disney World I would just put it in the traceling bad and place that under some clothes in a dresser drawer.

Makes it look like it is not there at least.

They are unfortunately not large enough for a laptop, but they work great for all of your other valuables. :o

I always bring my laptop but I bury it down in the bottom of one of my dresser drawers. In my many, many trips to Disney I have never had anything small or large go missing from my room. I don't personally know anyone else who has had a problem with theft either.

Bringing your laptop is a great idea too. It is nice to be able to upload your pics and videos so you don't have to worry about running out of space on your memory card. A nice load off of the mind.

Welcome to WDWMagic too! There is such a great group of people here!

Have a magical trip!

I've always left my laptop out on the desk. Hooked up and plugged in.

Never had any problems.

My passports and credit cards go in the safe.

I have done the same before and never had an issue either.

I 3rd that (if that makes sense). I always put cash, and credit cards, in the safe. A laptop will not fit in the safe, but like others have said, I've never had a problem with anything missing from my room. I always leave digital cameras, camcorders ...ect around the room. If you're that concerned, maybe put it in one of your suitcases, and lock it up (that's assuming you bring a suitcase). Just be safe
