Hi,

I've booked a Grand Gathering (11 persons w/ 4 rooms). When I arrive at Pop Century, do I go at the check-in alone to get all the passes or everyone needs to come with me ?

Thanks!

As far as I know whether it's a few or a GG, as long as you have all the info they only need you and your paperwork. I think it would be counter-productive to have all of you at the desk at the same time. We will be doing a GG in late March 9 of us at the AKL.

We do a Grand Gathering every year and we all check in seperately because we don't all arrive at exactly the same time. When we check in the CM knows we are a Grand Gathering just by pulling up our reservation, we have never had any problems and the CM's are usually very helpful!

Ditto for us this past July. Though, none of us got Grand Gathering buttons :(. They still knew we were one though.

I was part of a GG last year; one adult needs to check in per room, especially important if you want the charging privileges on your Key to the World card.

Hi I just got back from my Grand Gathering. We stayed at POFQ. Each family has to check in to get charging privledges on their own key card. I got our GG buttons at Guest Services at MK. They also have anniversary, b-day, my 1st visit buttons. Just ask! have fun.

That's really all we got with the Grand Gathering. Looking back, there doesn't seem to be too much of a difference with a regular trip and a grand gathering, other than buttons and the ability to book special events/activities...

GG offers some perks:
-Grand Gathering Events (such as private Illuminations dinner and viewing - a SPECTACULAR buffet of food from around WS, firework boat trips, special animal breakfast at AK, etc.)
-Rooms are more likely to be grouped together at the resort
-Group dining reservation line that better helps set group reservations without splitting tables

Some stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting. If you have 8+ people going, it's worth it just to tie you all together.

We did those a couple of times...always on properety. One adult per room must check in. We had tons of fun and made memories that will live on forever. I hope that you have as much as we did.

Ask for the buttons, sometimes they automatically give them, sometimes not. Make sure to get an on ride pic together(if possible)
Fireworks cruise is amazing.

hope you have fun

oh and one quick thing........ if youre staying at the same resort and room type you will most likely have rooms grouped together
