I went to this little place today... kinda like a zoo/plant expo. It's one of the more famous local attractions. Took 35 some-odd pictures. Think I should make a new thread in the "Digital Photos" subforum as usual, or just keep it in this thread?

Photo TR: Colasanti's

Yes, you may be asking yourself, "What is a Colasanti?" Well, it's about the only thing worth visiting in Essex County besides the winery and my house. (Hint, hint.) Basically a cross between a kiddie area, petting zoo and garden expo. Certainly an odd combination, I know, but bear with me. The whole thing is in a series of connected greenhouses, meaning my wearing of a t-shirt was TOTALLY justified. They have mini-golf too, but no pics from that. Had to stay on my game, after all.

Now on to the zoo! I don't know what half of these reptiles are, but whatever.

Ah, yes... the infamous killer goats of Colasanti's have recently had spawn.

Just after this shot, I let my guard down and found my coat being nibbled on 'cause I was keeping the 25-cent food offering in my pocket.

They turned Dumbo all yellow and even more colourful and somehow worse capacity.

I don't like Wacky Worm 4.0. All the new screens do is take your attention away from all the drab plant life outside the vehicle.

And finally, the Colasanti's tradition... hot brown sugary donut goodness with cider!

Much prefer the goats and bunnies, Dan...although I doubt Krystyna wants to hear the 'twins' word. :lol: And I'll never get my husband there if they have llamas.

I love bunnies, like goats, llamas are okay, but I am scared out of mind around snakes and birds. :lookaroun

And it's my husband that hates llamas. One spit on him when they had a petting zoo at the Columbus zoo and he has hated them ever since.
It probably didn't help that I couldn't stop laughing...but the look on his face was priceless.
