I don't know about lawsuits, but that menu makes me hungry. Chicken Tiki Masala with Naan, yummy. :slurp:

See thats the thing about globalisation, Chicken Tikka masala is a fake dish that was created for the British market by the imigrants from Pakistan/India based on buttered chicken amongst other dishes. Though I believe it now rivals fish n chips in the sales stakes.

You have to love factual programming on the Beeb.:animwink:

I don't know if there's anything they can do about the name unless they filed for a copyright nation wide. I'm still not sure even then. McDonald's couldn't build here in Houston for a very long time because another restaurant already owned the name rights here. Some real members of the Clan McDonald.

I think the actual name is Anandapur Yak and Yeti Restaurant, maybe putting the Anandapur in front in Yak and Yeti makes it not a copyright?? I don't know.

And ironically I just finished eating some very, very tasty Chicken Korma.

Actually, I think I ate at this restaurant about a year or so ago when I was out visiting my brother. If I remember correctly it wasn't the tastiest I have had. But, So-so Indian is better than no Indian!

Well, looking at it another way, every dish was made up at some point. Chicken tikka masala might have been invented for a specific purpose, but that doesn't mean that it's fake!

I have eaten there...twice actually. The food is outstanding.

I am planning on being up on that end of town next week. I may stop by and ask them what they know about the WDW version. Or maybe I shouldn't...:zipit:

BTW, I think there is one in California, too.

Of course not, just if you happened to ask for it in India or Pakistan they wouldnt have a clue what it was.

Its too mild for me anyway. Try a Phal.

So? Try getting an English Muffin in England, or French Fries in France. But I've eaten a lot of them in the good old US of A.

I could have sworn that English Muffins and chips were things that were actually created in those countrys and cooked on a widespread basis. No?

Which of course is totaly unlike a Tikka Masala which maintained traditional cooking methods while taking ingedients readily available in the UK to replace those traditionaly used and made a dish unique to Britain at the time.

However with youre muffin and fries experience I look forward to seing you on the next series of Hells Kitchen.

Oh and lets hear it for Uncle Sam yipppee ky aeee.

While I was ordering my drink at Yak & Yeti last weekend I noticed that all the cast that were working there were wearing pins that said "Yak & Yeti 2007 Orlando" and there were quite a few people that were wearing black polos that read "National Training Team." I didn't see any green participant ID's but I am guessing that Disney isn't running this restaurant and Yak & Yeti is. I also did not see any yellow or blue ID's running around.
