MNSSHP Picture and Report Thread!!!

After starting the October Roll Call and the MNSSHP list, there are quite a few of us that have attended or are going to attend the party. Therefore we all wanted to start a thread with some of our pics and stories about the Halloween party. I must say that the Halloween party is definately the highlight of our Oct trips. We have attended many of the parties before with the kids dressing up every year. Well, we got brave this year and decided to join many of the other adults and dress up with them. If you could see my office, you would know that I am a huge HM fan, so my costume choice was easy. We went with two other families, so the 3 fathers decided to be the Hitch-hiking Ghost. We had a blast all night long!!!! My 17 yo daughter went as Constance the bride and my 11 yo son was the Graveyard Keeper. (Insert irony here: my wife's name is Constance, so yes, I do hide all of the hatchets and axes in the house ) I don't have all my pics downloaded yet, I have to get the pics from the other families that went with us (hope to do that sometime this next week).

Me and my friends ended up attracking quite a bit of attention with our costumes. After riding the buses in and walking down Mainstreet, we had our pictures taken by the Photopass guys. We then proceeded toward the Haunted Mansion (for obvious reasons ). We were walking that way when a bunch of people stopped us so they could take their pics with us. We were quickly approached by one of the upper cast members and told us that they loved our costumes but we could not take pictures with other guest and we could not sign autographs. We wanted to cooperate so we said OK but it sure was hard turning down people who were asking to take our pics with them (esp the little kids). But many people took our pictures as we were walking around. The best thing was the compliments that we got from the cast members. They all said our costumes were awesome and that they loved them. That made all the hard work worth it!!!

Anyway, I hope everyone else will post some pics of their Halloween party. Here are just a few of mine.

Ok, I guess I deserved that!! I re-read your post and the "not the most comfortable costume... " comment should've given you away! (don't mind me, not enough coffee this morning!)

Capt. Jack Sparrow, matey??

And you do look great! Everyone's costumes are fantastic.

I actually assumed that you knew who I was in the pictures and were being sarcastic.

But yes that is I as Captain Jack. The brunet and the young girl on the far right are a couple of friends of ours from New Jersey. The other four girls are my wife and daughters. The part of Indiana Jones is being played by WDWMagic's very own jmaxwell007.

Ayee Matey, great costumes. I can agree with the comfort of the costumes. Who knew that a wig and beard would be so hot? My son was dressed as the HM grave keeper but a heavy coat and scarf do not mix well with FL heat, so he stripped his costume after pics were made. Periodically i had to remove my wig and beard just to get cooled down. It was quite warm that night.

Again Master Yoda, great costumes.

Unfortunately (for me at least) My wig is rather difficult to take on and off so I pretty much have to leave it on. But I guess if I can spend more than 12 hours dressed as a Borg from Star Trek I can deal with anything.

Fortunately for me, my wig was easy off and easy on. It wasn't something that had to be very neat, thank goodness. I just had to remember that I couldn't reach up and rub my face.

I wanted to include some shots from hallowishes...now I am no expert, and didn't have a tripod, but I don't think they turned out all that bad.
