Marie Character Spotted at DHS (MGM)!

So yesterday I was over at MGM--- I mean, Disney Hollywood Studios, and stumbled upon an unscheduled character meet-n-greet. There were several rare animated characters out including Friar Tuck, Strombolli, and Marie from Aristocats. I had never seen Marie before and my girlfriend is a Marie pin collector so it was great to grab a pic with her. I wanted to grab a pic of her by herself but since she didn't have any Character Greeters controlling the line (only two managers taking notes of all the characters), kids were rushing from all angles, but I did manage to grab this:

Seems like they're training a lot of new CMs right now, especially with College Program going on. Now's the best time to grab photos with rare characters!

It might have something to do with the new DVD coming out. They're giving The Aristocats a special edition DVD.

She was great when we saw her in France. Not too many people seeemd to either know she was scheduled to be there or who she was. So after taking a picture with her we got to see her really get "in character". She started swatting at some flower buds, licking her paw, etc. She was super cute!

Marie has actually been at the Studios as far back as December. I met her in January.

Perhaps she went away for a few months. After all, with all that shedding in the summer it would be difficult for the attendants....

They were there just for training..... I wouldn't have high hopes to see her there again except maybe France where she semi-regularly appears.

Would rare characters be listed with times and locations or do you just have to run into some of them?
She is cute my DD would love to see her!

When she is in France, it seems to be scheduled. (I accidentally found that out when asking when and where Aurora was scheduled to be -- the two of them were in France at the same time.) Ask a CM at each park you enter and they should be able to help you.

Though I'm sure she makes unscheduled visits as well - especially if she is "training."

We chased Marie all last week - but we always seemed to miss her by a day. She was at the Studios the day before us, and at Epcot in France the day before us. I talked with the CMs at both the Studios and Epcot who often "help" Marie, and they told me that she is still a special character and even they usually have no warning when she will be out. It's just a hit and miss sort of thing.

I love Marie! I remember when I was a little girl I had a stuffed Duchess and that thing went everywhere with me....I mean I love the aristocats so much that my cat is named O'Malley and looks just like the character...
