That's great!
But I'm not sure about Lasseter. Wasn't he the one behind the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage? That attraction really kind of stunk. And not only that, but what if he adds some PIXAR characters to the ride? I think he's given more credit than he deserves sometimes. I would much rather Tony Baxter on the project...
Lasseter should do an adequate job with the attraction (as the plans do have some left over pieces from back when Tony was still involved in the project).
Report? I looked on your website and didn't see anything; is this a document that could be made available to me? Also, any chance you could say where exactly (or vaguely) your source works?
Aside: Also, I would like to compliment you on not only the quality of your posts, but your resourcefulness and dedication to all things Disney. I never had any idea you're only sixteen until reading the Sentinel article, and not to sound condescending at all (I took similar comments the same way when I was your age...not that I am that much older now), but I was quite shocked that you're so young. Anyone should be proud of some of your accomplishments!
I released the report a while ago, but to much controversy (and too many people claiming my report as their own), I had to pull it before things got out of hand. I'm sure you can still find a copy of it somewhere, but I have refrained from re-releasing it due to the mess it made last time. Also, the information given in my report is not "as accurate" anymore because the project has obviously been adjusted since the time I wrote the article (directly after Jim Hill released his article on the upcoming changes at WDI). As for my source(s), I can't disclose where they come from just because there is always the issue of some person alerting Disney that some kid had been name dropping employees, Imagineers, reporters and more, saying that he has been getting information from them. Let me just say that while I am only 16 years old, my resolve is strong and my feelings about rumors are very sensitive. I only release information that has been deemed "releasable," much like our other insider friend ReDisney. I never lie about my information, and I never release information that I feel could be found false. I know how much I hate reading false rumors and dealing with the hype that follows (for those of you who missed the Disney in Fresco, Texas incident, you would see what I mean), so I vowed to never sell false information or information that I didn't have a guarantee from the person(s) who told me that it was true. I very rarely post information on projects still in the conceptual phase, just because it is too debatable.
As for my age, I try not to let it "slow me down" or hold me back. As I have said before, I plan on pursuing my goal to be an Imagineer and by working so hard now I get to enjoy one of my favorite hobbies and align my future for a position at WDI. The way I like to think of it is, "if I can do all of this at 16, imagine what I can do when I actually work for Disney." In the time until I actually have a solid career within the company, my work on my website, on the campaign and of course, on Celebration 25 help me to stay connected to one of the things that I am most passionate about in this world. I thank you for your complements and I hope to continue to impress as time goes on.
Alright... My rant seems to be done.
