We've hit the point in our lives now where we no longer even try to explain to people that "Yes, were going to Disney World again". After more than 30 trips in the last 7 years, we've had it with all of the stupid questions, looks and responses. We've taken the attitude that "its not your vacation, don't worry about where we're going" we just regret it took us this long to get here!

welcome to the club. Our friends and family will never understand.

My parents don't understand, and even after I invite them every year for the trip, they still refuse. Some just don't understand the fun.

I don't answer the "you're going to Disney AGAIN!" question, either. If they need to ask, they don't get it. :ROFLOL:
Good for you!!

Yes I know the feeling but I never let anyone take the Magic out of me or my family. Tough to be those who just do not understand.

Funny thing is we have a home at the beach and use it twice a year IF!! But these same friends that look at me like am Crazy about Disney trips are in my house on the beech every other weekend renting from me . The beech is nice but every other weekend not for me to each his own I guess

I've heard the comments, too, from friends and cow-orkers. My general attitude is that they can buzz off. I refuse to explain or feel the least bit embarrassed for my vacation decisions.

My friends and co-workers that pay any attention at all are always happy to hear about my trips. I have one co-worker who goes once a year, we spend hours talking about little 'tricks of the trade' we've picked up during visits. The vast majority of people I talk to about Disney trips are envious that they aren't going. No-one's ever pushed the 'why there again' bit because I'm so effusive in my praise of all things Disney I don't think they'd dare! :ROFLOL:

I think you've reached the threshold where WDW becomes a lifestyle choice rather than a vacation destination. ;)

Congratulations, and welcome to the family.

I get this all the time from my co-workers and friends. They say "Disney? AGAIN?" They think I'm crazy for going back several times a year but then they they wish they could go. I reply "Then do it! Just go!"

For the most part, people have quit bugging me. Going to Disney World a lot is just seen as one of my cute personality quirks. I have noticed that whenever anyone else wants to go, their planning starts with coming to ask me questions and advice.

Some people just don't get it... but then again I don't get them either! Why would you not want to keep going back to a place that puts such a smile on your face?
I always get the your going again... especially since we are going again this year
Good for you :sohappy:

my favorite comment

I get a lot of people I work with who feel they need to point out that I don't have any kids when I tell them I going to WDW. I typically thank them for pointing that out, explain how I often have wonder why my house is clean, tidy, and quite. Occasionally I will volunteer to baby sit one of my nieces or nephews for a few days, then I get the unmatched fun of watching a young kid react to WDW and remind me of things that I have forgotten over the years and my brothers or sister get a few days off from the kids.... everyone's happy.

When I get the "Again?' response, I ask "When's the last time you've been?". Then, I tell them ALL that has been added to WDW since they've been there. Their usual response is "well, maybe we should go again!"
Although, I work in theatre, so the majority of the the time it's: "One day we can afford to go there." It makes me kind of sad that the one place where "show" matters, is a place where most people who work in "show" can't go! Of course, they have the daily Disney Music in the scene shop that can lift their spirits, and hope for the future ( and revisit the musical themes that they have grown accustomed to:lol: ).

People just ask me all the time now "so when are you going to Disney again?" because they're so used to me always being there. Usually the answer is "a couple weeks"
