I don't know how long I will be here today. I have to get things done. My sister wants to come and sit with me during Bob's surgery. She lives in Abilene, which is 5 hours away, I would like for her to but then she would want to come to my house to stay and I would need to be a hostess to her. We don't know what time the surgery is yet, They said they would call us to tell us when to be there, She is wanting me to call. I think I can handle being there by myself and I really don't want company here at the house afterwards. I don't know what to say to her. I apprietate the thought but... does any of this make sense.:shrug:

Just tell her you appreciate the offer but you wouldn't want her to travel all that way. Tell her you'll be fine on your own and you'll keep in touch by phone. Do what makes you most comfortable Susie. You don't need added stress.

Perfectly understandable! Tell her you appreciate the offer, but you really think you can handle it all. Maybe ask her if you can call her if you need to or something.
