Morning EMH question...

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but it's a question that has been on my mind for a while now.

Do you all think that on days where one park has morning EMH, it is wise to go to another park other than the park with morning EMH. Especially with the hotels being practically sold out this summer, I would assume that the parks without morning EMH on any particular day would be less crowded on those mornings. (Hope all that was semi-clear)

Anyway, let me know what you all think. I'm heading down to the world in two weeks, so any feed back would be cool.

I know its best to skip parks with Morning EMH. The other parks usually are lighter, well at least from my experiences.

I know it is worth it to get that extra hour in the morning during the winter, when parks are generally light anyway (this is usually when I go), but in the summer, it would seem like that's what EVERY resort guest would be doing...

We skipped EMH after going to MK and everything was slammed. Everytime we avoided it we did much better...

Now if you were going during a slow part of the year I would say go. But seeing as though you will be going during the summer I would STEER CLEAR of EMH!!! Everyone and their mothers, grandmothers, kids, and kids kids will be there.

Seeing as how our family has always done the wrong thing and go when school is out. I will give you my advice that I have learned over the years. We would usually hit the EMH and ride everything we wanted that was open for the time that we had. Once the park opened to the general public, we would find somewhere to eat breakfast, then either head back to the rooms and hit the pools for a while or jump to another park. If that is not a option for you and you just want to know if you should avoid the park altogether, my vote would be yes. Or wait and go in later in the day when the croud thins out a little bit.

It has also been recommended that you go to the park that had evening EMH the previous night.

That's not such a bad idea. Anyone know if evening EMH are decent and light? I'm thinking (MK especially) that in the summer, that means they're open until 2:00am - do that many people really stay out that late??

I could see the evening EMH at AK being horrendous (due to their standard early close) but Epcot being better (extended Future World hours give the WS visitors somewhere to go).

It may also depend on what time of the year you are going to WDW.
Crowds are usually heavier in the summer months & during holidays.

It's my experience that EMH, both morning and evening, are a valuable benefit of staying on property.

Morning EMH allow you see the super popular attractions multiple times with a very short line and then enjoy the other stuff when the off property folks are let in and head straight for the rides you have already ridden.

Evening EMH allow you to see the parks at night, which is by far the best time to be there. It harkens back to the days when MK was open till midnite or later EVERY night. It's old school.

If you're not staying on property, by all means skip the EMH parks.

That's always my suggestion...because (and here I state my case one more time! ) since Disney introduced the MYW tickets...more and more people are just buying the base ticket to help make things cheaper. Since they are doing that...they are going to want to go to the park with the most bang for their buck...therefore, they choose to go to the park with EMHs. Then the people who do have Park Hoppers decided they are going to go to the EMHs for just that part of time, but go to another park for the rest of their day.

Well, all those people who visited the EMH park are obviously not going to want to return to that same park the next day...no, instead they will go to a completely different park...therefore, that is why crowds will be just a tiny bit smaller at the park with the EMH the day before. Now I don't know how substantial that smallness is...

MK was ridiculously crowded at midnight during EMH in early May (low to moderate crowds) and the EMH ended at 1 a.m.

At that time, the evening AK crowd was very small. Rode EE three times in a row. Maybe our visit was a fluke though...

We always buy the hopper option so we can take advantage of EMH without getting stuck in the crowds. We'll go to morning EMH and stay till about 10-11 when it starts to get packed, then head to a non EMH park for the rest of the day. This seems to work very well for us.
