What is the quickest way to get to FW from POP?
Should we go through MGM or Epcot to get there?

Getting from Pop to Fort Wilderness

I would go to the nearest theme park or to Downtown Disney and transfer to a FW bus.

MGM
Epcot or
DTD
POP is closest to MGM & DTD
but, FW is closest to Epcot

Going to FW, I would go to the closest park where I could change busses. You are likely going to make stops at Wilderness Lodge, the Poly or Contemporary, before going to FW. You could also go to the Magic Kingdom and take a launch to FW.

That's what we did when we went (we were staying at AS:Movies, but same idea). It may be quicker to go by bus, but the launch was enjoyable and had some nice views. If you're going to Hoop-de-doo or something in that area of FW, the launch drops you right there so you will save some time that way too.

Also, I think that FW has bus service back to the individual resorts after each Hoop De Doo performances. I am not certain about this, but the last time we went to HDD, there appeared to be a bus stop set up near the hall that had resort bound busses.

The launch is water transportation from MK to WIlderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. You catch it right in front of the Magic Kingdom.

Good idea - we are going to eat at Trail's End one night & Mickey's Backyard BBQ another.
I think those places are close to where they have the Hoop Dee Doo Revue.
If the launch drops us off there, that would be great!

Yes, the boat drops you with only a couple minute walk to either trails end or the BBQ. As far as the busses that take you to different resorts that was mentioned earlier....I don't remember those busses. I was there last summer and the only busses I remember from that depot was to Epcot, MGM, and AK. But of course I could be wrong, I have been known to do that from time to time:hammer:

If you are going to HDD take the MGM bus to FW as the AK and EP busses stop at another bus stop that is at the opposite end or the resort from HDD. The MGM bus stop is right beside pioneer hall and HDD. The boat is also a option. The busses will make a stop at WL on the way to FW and the boats also will stop at WL on their way. The boats arrive at FW right at Pioneer hall also.
