Looking for one more character meal.....

Hey all,

We are getting our ADRs together for our trip in Oct. and are trying to get one last character meal. We are looking for something that would be great for boys and girls ages 5/8(two boys, two girls). We already have ADRs at Chef Mickey's, Ohana's breakfast, the luau and we have LTT right now because we were going to do the Halloween party, but now we aren't and since we are going to Chef Mickey's anyway, we were looking for something with different characters-so I think we are going to cancel the LTT. We have looked at Restaurantosaurus, but that seems to have the same characters as CM, so I am at a loss. I have checked the sites and read about the dinners, but I thought I would come to the "experts". What are some of your favorites, or recomendations? Oh, and what do you guys think about Whispering Canyon. Is that fun for kids? It isn't a character meal though right? Thanks in advance for your insight.

Crystal Palace in the MK has different characters - Pooh and friends (usually, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger). It's a buffet. I've only been there for lunch - but we go every WDW visit.

Our family likes the CP, we go there every year. We ate at the Whispering Canyon it was good but very noisy if you do go don't forget to ask for ketchup, your kids will like that.

What about 1900 Park Fare? Those have Mary Poppins... Boys like her, don't they?

I was thinking about this one, but wasn't sure about the boys. We are getting together this weekend with the other family (the one with the boys) that we are going with and I was going to ask. We have been to Disney before, a few times:lookaroun , but they have never been so we are trying to make it great for them. Plus we are celebrating my 5yr daugther's 6th b-day. We did my 8yr old's DD last year and had a blast!

Can't help you with the character meals as you have already hit on all of our favorites.

The WCC is a great place for family dinner (or breakfast or lunch) if you don't mind a rowdy place. Its great for kids because they don't have to sit still are encourage to be noisy (and clean their plates :lookaroun ) and then there are the pony express races.

Most people get the all you care to eat skillets at dinner (good food), but its too smokey for my picky family - all the other choices are very goo too. Breakfast skillets are a must during our stays and I love the salads and sandwiches they offer at lunch.

We love the Breakfastasaurus

It is at Animal Kingdom and they only have the characters at breakfast but........everytime we have gone, it has been great plus it gives you an in to the park and a head start to Expedition Everest if you time it right. The characters are dressed up like explorers and the food is great.

It's wonderful - we will be eating there twice this fall, for dinner and breakfast. When we were there they made a guy stand up and lead the restaurant in the 'hokey-pokey' because they found out he went to Universal that day. :ROFLOL:

I know LTT has VIP characters (except no Mickey), but the food is really good there. It is a favorite of mine. Also, CP has a good buffet for lunch/dinner (buffet for breakfast too, but I don't like it as much).

It's not a character meal, but I think the kids that age might enjoy the Hoop-Dee-Do Revue more than another character meal.....JMHO.

We have done the Hoop Dee Do 3 times, and still love it, but we are doing the Luau this time. We are only doing one dinner show. $$$ I was torn about the decision though. But it is always good to try new things.

How was the HDDR? I would love to try it someday.
