Just a few of the feelings we go through the first time we see the castle. Hear the music, smell the cookies... WOW... Only 226 more day!

Do ya know what I mean?

Once I hear the star tunnel music at space mountain, I completely, absolutely, lose touch of reality... it's the biggest high on life ever for me.

I get that feeling the first time I see anything Disney related! Suddenly, I'm a kid again. Seeing all the big structures never gets old--that's one concern I have if I ever move close enough to WDW to visit all the time. It feels so much more special when you only go once every year or two (and the build up is so much more!).

Oh man, I get that feeling once we land at MCO. It gets better once we get to the resort and then that wonderful giddy feeling totally hits once we get to the Magic Kingdom. Even before setting foot on Main Street....it's just such a wonderful feeling! :o

Either passing through the parking gates or stepping out of the car. I've been a couple thousand times and I still feel that way.

I know what you mean. Once I book my trip, I am in Disney mode. I love to pack and load the car up. Nothing can bring me down the day that we leave.

I think I really start getting that feeling when we hit the Florida Turnpike. I am sitting on pins & needles. But the true joy is when you see the Walt Disney signs as you get into the resort areas. I get all nervous as I check in and then when I have our tickets in hand, watch out.

My children always love going to the Magic Kingdom first so that's where we go. I am like a teary eyed nut case out there while watching Mickey count down to open the park. Not really, but tears do come to my eyes. I guess it's when we hit Main Street and look down and see the beautiful Castle, my heart just melts and I am suddenly my Daddy's little girl all over again. Man, I love that feeling!:)

It's pretty much then end of wishes, spectromagic, and the whole disney dreams come true parade that so it for me. As well as a lot of other shows and parades from around the resort.

So many things 'flip my switch'. Love the movie in "Norway", "American Adventure", etc., etc., etc...................................

I've gotten goosebumps on Disney attractions on a few occasions. I remember the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah scene the very first time I went on Splash Mountain was the most vivid one.

After an 18 hour drive from New Jersey- the goosebumps start the second I see those purple/blue/green signs on the side of the road that indicate we're on Disney property. I breathe a sigh of relief and I'm home!:sohappy:

Wow what discussion! I have to say that when I first see the Disney signs is when the hair starts standing up. The goosebumps come when I arrive at the different parks. Boy do I LOVE Walt Disney World! My husband just doesn't understand my obsession! I tell him that WDW is the only place I can go and not worry about anything. I have FUN the whole time I'm there. 37 days till I get back to my favorite place!

I'm a late bloomer. I've only been to Disney World a few times. My first time was just a couple of years ago.But just the thought of Disney is enough to excite me. I even exclaim" Disney" out loud when I see the commercials for WDW on TV. And even though it may come close, there's nothing as thrilling as the first time. There are so many moments you'll always remember. Like when you see Cinderella's Castle from the ferry for the first time and know you're actully in Disney World, not just watching it on TV. Or hearing the music from classic Disney movies as you're watching "Mickey's Philharmagic"
and remembering watching "The Wonderful World Of Disney" as a kid growing up. I can't wait to experience the thrill again

This is why I LOVE this forum!
I can find other people that get that same warm, fuzzy, butterflies in tummy feeling everytime we are going to Disney World. I can never sleep well the night before we go, so excited. Remember that commercial for Disney a little while back when the kids wouldnt go to sleep cause they were too excited about going to Disney the next day, and the mom goes to bed and the husband says he can't sleep either cause he is excited. hehe
That is me and my hubby & son. We get all giddy when we enter the parks.
Last time we went in Feb. was the first time we ever all went to Magic Kingdom. As we watched the opening show in front of the castle when we first got there, my hubby was all teared up. So emotional and kept saying how happy he was that we could take our son there.
Disney really is magical. Not just a theme park.
It is sheer happiness.
:D

Goose bumps

I try and stay in a Disney frame of mind all the time. We have Disney in almost every room at home. I have a bobble head Mickey at work, the anniversary poster for MK on the wall and WDW audio on the computer.
But POC does it for me.
