Best week in October

I was just wondering when the best week in October is to visit the World...

I'm sure around Columbus Day it's crowded and Halloween is probably very busy too. I was just curious as it seems, in the past, it's been hit or miss when we go.

I have the opportunity to grab a timeshare for a week (for nothing) but I need to tell them what week I want to go by the end of this week.

Thanks in advance!

We went down last year Oct 29 thru Nov 4. I was not crowded at all! We did MNSSHP on October 30th. The park was not crowded during the day and on a scale of 1-10 the nightime was about a 7. We didn't wait on a single line all week, we did however, avoid Magic Kingdom on the 31st. We spent that day in EPCOT, it was empty. To my suprise is was a very easy, non-crowded vacation. Good Luck and Enjoy!

We've been twice in October. Both trips we left for WDW the Saturday after Columbus Day and thought it was perfect. The weather was still hot and the crowds seemed fairly light.

All of the "weeks" are good.
As was said, Columbus weekend and the weekend including or nearest to Halloween can be more crowded...often mostly at the MK.

With the popularity of Food and Wine, Epcot can get a bit more crowded Friday and Saturday evenings.

We have done the first two weeks often, weather is usually nice, beginning to cool a little and crowds are small.

This past year I was there during the first week of October and didn't find it crowded at all. I plan on going back during this same period of time again this year. You get all the perks: kids are back in school, F&W Festival is going on over at Epcot, and MNSSHP at the Magic Kingdom. Plus it's still pretty warm, but it's not unbearable like it is during the summer.

We have gone down in Oct. for four years in a row now and it seems to get a little more crowded every year. Still the crowds are not that bad and the F&W plus MNSSHP party make the trip well worth it. Going back this Oct. 8-13 staying at the AKL and we can't wait :D. Anyone know how good AKL is?

I stayed there in January and it's AWESOME!

The only problem I had with it is the location...it's too far away from everything.

BTW...check out the animals at night with the night vision binoculars they set up!

Have fun and enjoy!

We were at WDW last year 10/1 - 10/5. Very low crowds and had a great time at the Halloween part. Weather was great but a light jacket at night if your cold natured. Enjoy and have a great time.

Only 29 days to trip to Disneyland and 71 days to WDW. I'm tired of the Ohio snow & rain.

We were also at WDW during this time (Oct. 31 - Nov. 4)....it was fantastic....Friday, Nov. 3 had small waits (10-20min) in the MK, but every other day seemed like the park was empty....

Make sure you take in the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot....you can use your meal plan snacks to purchase food....plus taste wines from 2-4 $$ per tasting......it was a GREAT time!!

have a good trip....

Wasn't that awesome! We saved up all our snacks and to say the least rolled out of Epcot! It was great.
