It's the little things.

I've gotten used to the little things.
And I appreciate them.

What projects?

2 books that he is self-publishing on 2 subjects with very specific audiences:
1) The Irish (or Nativists) Riots of 1844.
2) Tun Tavern - the birthplace of the United States Marine Corps

How is that diner?

It was the second time we ate there and both times the food was good.
Not the best ever, but I'd go back again.

(Can you smell the cookies?)

Always!

You don't have much else to go on, really.

Oh... interesting. The first I'd like more than the second.
Riots! Irish! IRISH RIOTS! YAYNESS!

Just stopping in to say hello...

Unfortunately I'm in tonight writing a paper; had somewhat of a crazy week. I was busy with just work and quizzes at the beginning of the week, and then I had an exam Thursday, interview today, and a paper due at noon tomorrow. I was going to do the paper last night but I started having really bad chest pains; so I made an appointment with my doctor for today, but the nurse told me based on my symptoms I needed to get to a hospital immediately so I ended up spending most of yesterday evening in the ER. Luckily the EKG came out fine and my x-rays were negative. So they monitored me for a bit then sent me on my way and said to follow up with the appointment for today. Today, the doctor reviewed my EKG and X-rays and then did some examinations with me and said it was most likely a tear in a muscle or some cartilage problems in my ribs; and just said give it a week at full rest, taking tylenol a lot, and go back in a week. If it persists they'll do an MRI.

As for the interview today; it coulda gone better... but it certainly could have been a lot worse. I was extremely tired because I had been up late last night because of my chest pain, and then woke up at 7 this morning to get ready to be up around Boston at 10... I'm not a morning person. Also, right off campus there is a Dunkin Donuts but I drove by it without thinking, so when I got closer I stopped at one but it didn't have a drive-thru and there was honestly about 15 people in line inside... and I didn't have time so I went in a little groggy. So; I felt I was maybe a little less myself than normal and some of the questions I was asked I may not have given my best answer possibly; nor responded as confidently as I'd been feeling about it all week. I also took a 30 minute online quiz that tally's up points based on certain answers to about 100 different answers in 10 different categories to see if the career is 1) a fit, and 2) potentially something I could succeed at... hopefully I did well with that; it wasn't like there were right or wrong answers, not like "if this happens what do you do" but rather analyzing you as a person... all opinionated questions... So; we'll see...

So then like I said I had the doctor's appointment, and then I started my paper, went out to eat with the folks, and now I'm sitting here at home trying to write another six pages tonight on Title IX; Section 906 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act... going to be an exciting night!!

In more exciting news; Allie got accepted to Tufts Grad School!! So we're happy for her! Alright; I might be on for a bit cuz... basically I don't want to right this paper...

Pathetic really.
I take what I can get.

Oh... interesting. The first I'd like more than the second.
Riots! Irish! IRISH RIOTS! YAYNESS!

Yay!
Interesting stuff.
After I did a lot of the editing on this project last summer, George took me down to the areas where they took place. The history in our city is amazing.
Actually, the Tun Tavern story is really interesting too.

I think I ate at a diner once.

Really.
One of these days we just might be in the same place at the same time. . .

Really?
I find that it only smells occasionally.

Of course it's not all the time.
But a lot of the time.
I love that smell!

Wow.
You've had quite a time of it! Feel better!
I bet the interview went better than you think.
Congrats on Allie's acceptance!

Oh! Wait! Wait!
Even if we are, I won't say anything.

Do they make Oreos there?
I always thought it smelled more like those yellow cookie things.
