:king: Hello!
I hate to be negative about disney but I do feel i need to make a complaint. We made one at the city hall when we were there but that was over 2 weeks ago and we haven't heard anything back and I would like some sort of apology. Our problme happened at Guest Services..I still have the cast mebers name. I would like to make a complaint again as it did partly ruin our trip and I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else! Thankyou in advance...and sorry for having a moan!

Oh, that doesn't sound so good. There is a link on the website to contact DLRP - I'd try that first. Don't think they are so public about publishing complaints or compliments lines in Paris unlike Orlando (I wonder why!)

We just got back last night, no complaints about the staff per se, but they just aren't quite as Disney as those in Florida!

If I can be so nosy, what happened?

The way french system work, your best option is to send a "recommanded" letter, which means they're legally forced to aknowledge its reception and are bound to produce an answer withing 15 days or are legally attackable.

Scuse my english, i'm french ;)

I know DLRP staff can ruin a lot of stays, sad to say... Better days will come...

It may only seem like a small problem to you all unless you get a bit of background info. My mum had always wanted to take my little brother to A disney park on his 4th birthday..so he would be old enough to remember it and we could do special things like character dinings with birthday cakes that he would remember and appreciate, she's been talking about this for the past two years. We started planning our flifhgts to WDW last year and then about a month before we were planning to book we hit quite a major financial crisis...meanin no disney visit at all let alone all the way to florida. that happened in May, we had to see our hosue in florida and basically change our lifestyle all together. The thing that upset my mum the most was she thought the lil one would miss out on things us older siblings had done. I started saving all my wages from my part-time job and decided that even if I could just take him to the rainforest cafe up london or something for his birthday then I would and my family wouldn't have to worry about paying for it. I then changed jobs and got a job at the Disney Store and worked out that using various benefits I would be able to save enough money to take the fmaily to Disneyland Paris for his birthday. I rang almost every day checking out different discounts etc and the people were really helpful. I then literally scarped togetehr all my money and told my mum that i had booked it and it took about 2 days to convince her I wasn't lying.
We got to Disneyland and I had budgeted the exact money I had been told for entrance tickets when we got to guest relations I was told that the tickets were roughly twice what I had been previosuly told (on several occasions) this literally meant we couldnt go in the park, or could go in and not eat for two days! I explained to the woman that I had been given a different quote form special reservations, she then decided that shout at me about wasting her time i was either paying the price or getting out. I asked to speak to her supervisor she said no he will say the same thing I said I would like to speak to him anyway and she then told me I am the supervisor...CONFUSED?!?! I said I was not leaving until I had spoken to him (by this time we had been there about 45 minutes, both my younger birthday brother! and my brohter with cerebral palsy were gettign extremely impatient!) She then rung special reservations and said I am not speaking to them, put the phone under the eindow and told me to move to the side. I spoke to special resevartions they explained there had been a problme on their part but they would rectify the situation if I pased the phone back to the guest relations member, I turned round to give it to her and she then shut the window, pretty much in my face and pulled down the ferme (closed) sign, withme left holding the phone...by this point I was getting angry and cold after it being about an hour and 15 mintes. I pulled the window back up and asked where had she gone...apperently she was on her break. I then found her supervisor (thats right the one that didnt exist) who then gave me tickets priced higher then i had expected but lower then she had said. This meant we couldn't do some of the things we had planned to do and none of us brought souviners (?) as we had no money to. It did ruin the holiday for me, not the rest of the family, becuase it had taken so much effort and planning and she was so rude that it just put a downer on my day and I want to ensure that this doesnt happen to anyone else who doesn't deserve it!

So yeah! an extremely long story..If you're still reading thanks!, I am sorry to bore you..I understand it may seem trivial to you but It wasn't too me.
Thanks and Seasons Greetings!!!!

It does sound like a very aggrivating experience, but I thought that you could purchase park tix in advance, especially if you work for the Disney Store.

Sorry you had such a tough time.

Ouch. Not a good tale, and somehow unsurprising - the staff in Paris do not try anywhere near as hard as the Orlando staff to be "Disney". Seems like one person was determined to be unhelpful, but you did get into the Park in the end - even if it wasn't quite as magical after then.

And despite all that, I'm sure your little bro and rest of the family must have thought everything you did to get them there was fantastic, so that was a little bit of magic that they will always have that wasn't Disney, French or American! Well done for doing it all - hope you go again, either to France or the USA... there are many good deals out there, and this place is superb for finding out all the info!

Merry Xmas!

If you factor in the un-Disney staff and then ignore them you will enjoy DLRP, don't stop going just because of them. On our last trip one person stood out for me on the trip for all the right reasons - the guy who loaded us into Star Tours. For the first time I actually thought I was in Florida as he interacted really well with the passengers, and made it fun... in two languages perfectly!

Ok this is my though about DLRP .

CM and Guests are sometimes rude not every CMs are but there is also a lots of very nice CMs even guests . DLRP Management trained their CM to be like their are .

Disney in United States is an institution . Most of the americans grew up with Walt Disney on TV and been to Disneyland and WDW in their childhood so Disney is a lots in their memories .

Disneyland Paris new in Europe and it's a kind of like '' American Representation '' like Mc Donald's , Subway and Burger King . So if you ask to a European what is Disneyland Paris . They will reply '' it's the American Disney Quality imported in Europe '' .

The only way to have a better quality by most of the CMs would be to be managed a 100% by the Walt Disney Company with american managers and Team Leaders .

WDC only own 35% in ED SCA and Euro Disney pay for the Royalties and Copyrights to the WDC. Euro Disney SAS /SCA Management used to be weird and worst with no quality even in the theme parks by budget cuts and the example is the Walt Disney Studios .

I hope the AMERICANS will come back in the Company like it was in 1992 and make the Real Disney Quality like it is right now at WDW and DL .

I'm sorry for what happened CaptainessKylie .

We`ve had a few `less than fantastic` CMs during our DLP stays, but on the most part they are on a par with WDW on the whole we found. None above the WDW standard (as many seem to be in Orlando) but certinaly nothing like the above. I hope you get to the bottom of this and get her fired. She isn`t EDLSCA, let alone Disney.

On the whole DLPs CMs wouldn`t and shouldn`t put anyone off going to DLP; they are still far better than what we encountered at USF - and don`t even think about UK theme park staff.

For any `discount` or special option like the one mentioned above, I always insist it in writing; a phone conversation can go so wrong as I`m sorry to hear.

I have to add though I made my first Disney complaint at a parks guest services at WDSP, in writing, and 18 months on still havn't heard anything.
