The floats get moved into the gym, and since the annual football game is both delayed until Saturday, and is not at home, the Homecoming Queen is crowned. The float winner is announced, and the winner of Spirit Week.
The senior canidate won for the Queen.
Juniors won the float.
Juniors won Spirit Week.
Juniors have a very enthusiastic advisor, as well. :lol:

Hope you all had a great holiday! Lizzy and I are home now, much food and fun wore her little tush out. LOL

I really didn't eat that much, but I guess the combination of foods really filled me up - still feeling bloated today.

I hate that feeling.
I really didn't eat all that much, either. I usually don't on Thanksgiving. I'll be munching on leftovers for a while though!
I baked my first apple pie ever. (Okay, so I cheated and used a Pillsbury crust. :lookaroun) It was really yummy! I'm looking forward to a piece of that today.
By the way, I really enjoyed your parade commentary with Connor, and I totally agree about that little girl who "sings". I heard an interview with her, and she bragged how she had never had a singing lesson. - no kidding Sherlock! Apparently when she auditioned for the show, her father didn't know she could sing at all - he thought she was going to dance....

I think that she has potential, but her voice is so powerful she really needs to learn how to tame it! She screams everything and sings way too fast, leaving words unfinished. She's annoying!
She has potential, but I agree, it's more like semi-musical shouting than actual singing.

Nope.
I have gone Black Friday shopping in the past, and I must admit you can get some fabulous deals! But I don't buy that many gifts anymore, so I don't find it necessary to join in the hysteria. Usually I decorate our house on Black Friday, but, because I really could use a day of rest this week, George and I are taking a ride to Cape May, NJ. I am so looking forward to doing nothing! It's been a hectic week!
And you, Fishy. . .what do you have planned for today?
At times I sustitute another word for "kidding"....
