FUN! This is my favorite time of the year. This is really MJ's *first* Christmas. She is very excited about decorations and meeting santa. She really doesn't understand the whole present thing.....I am looking forward to creating new traditions with her.

We hope she'll enjoy Hanukkah with us too, although she won't understand a lot of that one since it's a bit more of a sophisticated holiday.





1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot Chocolate (Egg Nog, Ewwwwwwww.........)

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
MJ would have no understanding of seeing presents and not getting to open them, so under the tree will stay empty until Christmas Eve. We'll put out one gift for her to open tht night and the rest will go out after she goest to bed.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Colored. Indoors and out.

Blue and White for Hanukkah

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Not in the past, but we'll hang fake this year, MJ will get a huge kick out of that tradition

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but MJ is so antsy this year, it may be a lot sooner.

Hannukkah ones go up at the same time as the Christmas ones.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Yams with Marshmallows, broccoli w/mayo, cranberry-apple relish

Latkes

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?
Making Cookie Castles with my mom and taking them to a hospital for children to enjoy. We made one to eat and one to look at.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
What truth about Santa?

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
One, PJ's

10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him?
I don't recall that it was a set kind, although I seem to remember Panut Butter Kisses being out a lot.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Love it, in theory.....

12. Can you ice skate?
Took lessons as a kid, but the last time I skated (at 26) I fell and broke my right arm in 3 places.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift as a child?
Hollie Hobbie Easy Bake Oven

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Family. Home. Traditions.

Same as Bunny....and Music too.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Pumpkin Pie

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Decorating the house, Singing Christmas Carols

We don't have a lot of traditions since MJ was born, we'll have to see what new ones we can make...

17. What tops your tree?
I think we are going to get MJ a lighted Tinker Bell for the tree

Eventually we will have two trees, one for Hanukkah and one for Christmas.

18. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving?
Giving, I was always the *elf* in our family and loved it.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Carol?
Mary Did You Know? and Breath of Heaven for popular ones

Silent Night and O Holy Night for traditional ones

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum?
Eh, not fabulous, not awful...

21. What’s the one gift that you wanted, but never received as a child?
A happy family.

We turned the air off yesterday...:)

Good morning to a chilly Dana!
Thanks for asking about Stacey. She was in a lot of pain last night. I suggested that, in addition to the vicodin, she stop at the drugstore and pick up some clove oil to put on the tooth. I hope she did that. I haven't spoken to her yet today - I don't want to call her in case she's sleeping - but I hope she's better.

awww Thanks! :) I love kissin on my girl too. ;) In church this morning she was clapping and singing during praise and worship - it was soooo cute! LOL
