Nov 2007 will be the time that 14:eek: of us will be going to WDW and staying in Pop Century, out of the 14:eek: of us there will be a total of 5 kids ranging from 5yrs old to 12 yrs old. We have been told by the people we booked it with that this is good resort to stay in with kids. Unfortunately the web site doesn't give you a great view of the resort. Has anybody stayed there with that many kids if so please help and also it will be our honeymoon so would there be anything else for us to do?????
And before anybody asks all the kids are not ours....

For the kiddies - there's a soft-surfaced water play area (squirting jets), outdoor twister games scattered around, and the huge icons, such as Lady and the Tramp, Roger Rabbit, Baloo, etc.

For the honeymooners - there's a bridge over the lake (you can't get to the other side), with benches in little nooks. I've rarely seen anyone on the bridge or sitting in the benches on the far side. It could be romantic - especially at night.

For your honeymoon at least try and stay at a different resort for a night or 2. The kids will like Pop Century and heck even the adults will be able to see something they grew up knowing or playing with.

As for the bridge there are the benches, but you have to watch out for those that chose to use it to smoke illegal substances (we walked on the bridge and got to the end just to see someone hanging out down there, we left 2 mins after getting a quick glance over to the other side and we walked away knowing what we were smelling was not a tobacco cigarette)

If you stay in the 50s section, the Tramp building of Lady and the Tramp, request a room on the backside facing the lake on either the third or fourth floor (there are elevators): Wishes and Illuminations can be seen from your windows and balconies!! And there is a pool right around there, and the bus stop/check-in/food court is just a short walk.

Have you looked at the photos at AllEarsNet.com?

Here's a link: http://allearsnet.com/acc/g_pop.htm

I like Pop Century. It's a fun place. I think if I were going for my honeymoon though I'd want to stay at a different resort than the other 12 members of my party though.

The Pop is great! I've been there twice and will be going back.

But I seriously agree about taking some honeymoon time away from the other members of your group:animwink:

We just went with a group of 12 people to Pop....including 2 kids under 3...that's not as many as you, but they had fun swimming. There are organized kids games every day by the pools (check the chalk board that moves between the main lobby and main pool). The middle of the afternoon is a blast there since a lot of people are at the park with the games, and they have a bunch of water toys that stay in the pool for anybody to play with :)

Hope this helps!
