Hello.

According to the Unofficial Guide you should still be ok to use your fastpass ticket evan if the time on your ticket has passed.

In reality is this true? Can you rely on this?

Cheers

Someone may know the "real" policy but I have returned for a fast pass hours after the return time has passed with no problem. Just as long as you don't come back before your return time I don't beleive you'll have an issue.

There have been threads on this topic in the past. I think even a CM said he/she had been instructed to let people use fastpasses if their time expired, but not before their one-hour window began. It just cuts down on potentially ugly scenes.

I've never tried it. I suppose it wouldn't hurt, as long as you tried it judiciously. If you see a longer than usual FastPass line, they might be more inclined to check FP time-windows. And if your window for Space Mountain was, say, 5:30 to 6:30, don't try to use it just before park closing.

I have never been turned away for using a FP that has "expired." As one of the previous posters mentioned it could get ugly if you started denying all FP's that have expired. There are so many things at WDW that distract you, or just take longer than expected, making it impossible for you to return during your window.
Again, I don't think there is an official policy, but I do not never know of anyone ever being denied admission past their FP time.

This is true. You can use your fastpass after it has technically expired. The only exception I have heard to this policy, rule or whatever it may be is at Soarin.

We've never been turned away arriving after the 1 hour window, and most of the time we are later. As long as the pass is for the same day, you should have no problem.

We had a fast pass for Exp. Everest back in March. During our allotted time, EE broke down. We were told we could come back whenever (and if) it was up in running that day even though our time would be way past our time just hold on the our passes.

So I don't think it should be a problem.

The only place I've ever been questioned on this is Soarin'. The woman said, "try to be here earlier next time" but still let us on.

We've never been turned away either. We have missed our FP time on numerous occasions for numerous reasons (mostly dining) and a CM never said a word to us about it.

I've never had a problem either. I do like the new FASTPASS rules about getting more than one before the return time on the pass you have...makes it easier to be on time and aviod this possible problem!

Once in a blue moon you may run into a CM on a power trip (for lack of a better term) and they won't let you in past the time. But as it has been stated here, about 99% of the time there will be no problem in using it after the one hour window.

We used this technique throughout our last couple of trips. Worked every time. One especially good use of this: if you leave the park for a mid-day break and plan to come back to the same park in the evening, get FastPasses on your way out.

From my understanding the Fastpass code is more of actually what you might call "guidelines."

I never use fp that are in the time window. Cuz if I get to MK at opening and fp splM and ride it, and when I come back for Splm fp time and theres no one in line, Im gonna go standby and save that fp until its worth it, ie 40 50+ minute wait, I never waste a fp. I also save them for future trips, I have fp ToT countless times knowing I was leaving the park and would not be able to come back that trip, upp, I just save em for my next trip.

Yea, a lady at Soarin told my dad, "Next time come back in the time window" it threw him for a loop. We were thinking, we'll come back whenever we're able to.

We had fastpasses for Peter Pan on our last trip and tried to go 5 minutes early so we could get to our preferred seating for Cindi's. No luck. The CM would not let us in early. I stood there for five minutes and smiled at him. :D
