I found out this morning that my SIL also applied for the same job that I did, and frankly, she'll probably get it over me.:fork:

 Oh no! Can you talk to her about it?
Considering she didn't even tell me that she had applied (and she knew that I did) that's probably not going to do any good. It just really irks me - she and I started teaching at the same time, but I left to stay home with my kids (and as it turns out hers too - long story!), and never went back to it full-time because other things came up in my journey. I was always looked down on from her and her family because i wasn't really "working". Now she's retired from teaching, clearly doesn't need the $$, but we do, and I'm just trying to get back into it...

Sigh... Family. That's rough.

Maybe this teaching job wasn't meant to be. Or maybe it'll still be yours, even though she applied for it too. You never know what's supposed to happen.

When do you find out?

I have an interview on Monday - I'm not sure how long it will be after that. I'm just so steamed about it. The 2 of them are so money-hungry and so cheap! I've had to put up with so much from them over the years, but this really takes the cake! Their youngest is the same age as my daughter so I used to take care of her for virtually pennies when the girls were little. At the end of the year though, we had to (get this) pay them to not declare what they paid me on their income tax because I was not a licenced day care facility. It didn't matter to them that I used the petty amount that they gave me ($10 per day) to feed and entertain the child and take her places that they didn't have time to. I was so ripped about that (apparently I still am....)
