Hadn't seen this and realize that it's kind of late news but thought people may want to know. Sorry if this is a repeat thread, please delete if so.

After 13 magical years of surprising and delighting our Guests, Merlin will perform his last two days of Sword in the Stone shows next week on Sunday, August 13 and Tuesday, August 15.

Please check the Times Guide for show time details and join us in front of Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel to bid the show a fond farewell.

There are so many new shows coming to the MK that they are displacing others (like this) -- at least that's what I assume...... that's why there is speculation that the Trolley Show may be going, but so far no word.....

is the sword still going to stay there or are they going to take the sword out completely, if they did it would leave a huge hole for me, i always loved seeing people just walk by and try to pull it out. Anyway i will miss merlin, even though one was better than the other, that is a whole different supject, but he will be missed.

yes, and it's such a nice photo-op.... I'd hope they'd keep it!

What was the prize if the kid pulled the sword from the stone? And what will they do with it, are they just going to leave it by Cinderella's Carrousel?

This was really a cute show. I don't ever remembering watching it until this past May. We happened to walk past while they were choosing someone so we stayed to watch. The little kid was really cute (the expression on his face was priceless) and of course, they made the adult look like a fool!

Oh well...hopefully they'll bring in something else that's fun.
