EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

The main issue with Imagination is the DVC lounge inside. They'd probably use a currently empty corporate lounge for it though. My vote for awhile has been The Seas (would also look better and be more luxurious than the current Imagination one).
There's no way they would be willing to give up the revenue that the Seas lounge provides them, even for a year or two. You could use Mission: Space or The Land's, Space is probably more realistic because you could utilize the first floor reception area and just staff a cast member to ask at the door if you're DVC.

Personally, I had always hoped it would move into the AT&T lounge, but since that's now Geo 82 my vote in a perfect world would be for Wonders of Life's lounge. It's the only one not currently being utilized for something, but you'd have to actually do something to the building so that guests could get to it. This could be a nice financial incentive to do something with Wonders, if anybody important is reading? 😂

Personally I think it's gonna be the other way around.

Imagination I think will get retooled to not be anything like this new version, but I don't think it's gonna take very much to do it. A lot can and likely will be left in place on the technical side, but with changes to story and show scenes.

SSE I think is going to get a pretty hefty change, and not just to guest facing things. Not only does an entire half of the ride need to get redone (the descent), I imagine it's probably also time for a rather large mechanical overhaul to it too. I think SSE by nature of what it likely needs done and also just by being a trickier space to work in is going to be more complicated and prolonged than a redo of Imagination is. Especially because there's not a whole lot to the current version of Imagination.
The track indeed does need to be replaced no question about that. Also, the 07 Descent has been embarrassing since the day the 07 version opened. From a guest perspective, Imagination will likely be a more radical change content wise as far as I know.

Imagination and SSE won't go down at the same time. Operations would start rioting in the street.

Imagination would have a quicker turnaround than SSE. SSE needs some TLC to some stuff inside because it's a specialized building that's 50 years old. Not to the extent as previously thought but still some stuff that'd have it down for awhile.

There's a chance.

The goal is both complete by 2032. Expect another "EPCOT heavy" investment wave once Cars/Villains are nearing completion to upgrade some stuff in the park for EPCOT50. Some other stuff I've heard sounds fun.

My bottom line is that, I am of the belief that Imagination gets worked on first, and maybe Project Tomorrow goes down to make sure the lounge doesn't go down while the ride is getting a makeover.
I have no doubt Imagination will be first. I will be legitimately surprised if Version 4 is not announced at D23 this year personally.

New at EPCOT today, a shirt where dreamfinder actually appears and is mentioned by name!

YES!! That’s what I’m talking about! Stuff featuring the real/legit classic ride we all love, on-model and everything! 👍🏻👍🏻 👏🏻👏🏻 And there is another retro shirt featuring the laser light show in the classic Performing Arts/Theatre scene with Figment. GREAT!! That’s what we wanna see more of! Hopefully we’ll start seeing that in the ride again soon too, on that note. :

Admittedly, there’s a Kodak exec VIP lounge located elsewhere in the pavilion that could be used for DVC if they wish. But I don’t know if that’s being used for an employee break area or something now or what. Have no idea. Nonetheless though, It’s strange to me why they decided to make the once available to the public classic upstairs ImageWorks atrium area the DVC lounge instead of an area that genuinely was exclusive to corporate VIPs and such. 🤷‍♂️ Oh well, if they’d rather put a DVC lounge in either the former Land or Living Seas exec/VIP lounges, that would work great too.

Its leadership offices now, has been for many years. Doubt it will ever return to being any kind of VIP space.

It was vacant, about the right size, and provides some nice views of the park. Plus it’s a very central location.

They could also use the American Adventure corporate lounge upstairs, but probably not as practical as some of the other Future World pavilion lounges. Norway as well has a large one but again with elevators and all not as easily accessible like the Seas or other pavilions.

Isn’t that the club 33 space or do they have more spaces?

American Adventure is now Club 33. Norway is another rentable event space, but I think they would much sooner let it go to become a temporary DVC area than they would for Living Seas.

The left field pick would be Restaurant Marrakesh. It has been used as a lounge space a few times recently since it closed, but is currently still vacant.
