Ah, I don’t have general data. 80% new sounds like a lot.

Let’s say 80% of the MK’s guests are new each year. That’s close to 16 million people. There are 380MM people in the US. So in 24 years every American will have visited?

Okay, lots of guests come from outside the US. And the population is growing. But it seems like at numbers close to 80, everyone in the US would’ve been already.
1/2 of the current US population probably can’t come close to affording a trip to Orlando…and rising.

The idea that 80!% of the visitors are new is insane…not even close

People are in denial about what is going on here…the Eisner strategy…which was focused on repeats…has been reversed and actively driven away. And they’re failing at it…to be honest…because the philosophy at the top of the mega corp has gotten away from
Them…intentional or otherwise…

There’s a ton or denial of how vulnerable these parks are…and Remember: there’s hasn’t been a collapse in an astounding 17 years…by far the most in the modern era…yet

Thats great for you and noone is gonna judge you for that and critique your decision… everyone does their own thing on vacation disney or elsewhere. No right or wrong way….

Just curious what was included in what you “wanted to do”? Not calling you a liar but i find it hard to believe you walked right on FoP with no wait
Feeding the upsells is not wise. And yes…we all are probably contributing to the problem to varying degrees…
But don’t be deluded…you’re feeding a cash money machine with no overhead…lightning lane has no cost. Its purely a perception and exercise in patience

Safari
FoP (I didn't ride but waited with the rest of the party)
Saw a CM friend working at Conservation Station
Everest (twice, because single rider rules)
Dinosaur (I think this was after lunch and the last thing we did before leaving the park)
Ate lunch at Restaurantosaurus

Again. Im not denying what you are saying at all. All im saying is this. You can chooss not to go (as mentioned i cxld a June trip) & have opted out of a 3 day trip next weekend. But if you choose to go sadly playing by their rules is what needs to get done for some to make their trip more enjoyable and manageable. Ill never understand paying obscene prices for “deluxe” hotels that again basically provide no added value yet people get up in arms over paying up for the luxury and leisure to simply walk on a ride whenever they want…

So you didnt do the same as if you paid as you had to wait for FoP?

Is this unique to Disney tho?

Did that at AK the last time I was there. Got to the park maybe 30 minutes after open. Did everything we wanted to do. Left by 1pm. Cost? $0. #DidIDoThatCorrectly
There are 2 big "problems" with that plan however.

First being, what you wanted to do, being someone who has done the parks a large number of times, isn't going to match up with what someone who is visiting the park for first time, or only gets there once every 3-5 years of so.

Second, you happened to be able to do that at day at AK. But it was really luck that let you do so. There just as easily could have been longer lines, some intermittent break downs, ect. So to take your hashtag question seriously, did you really do it correctly, or did you luck out? For the cost of $140 bucks, you have guess work and luck taken out of the equation completely.

I put up links that say it's 70-80%... Not saying those links are 100% accurate, but do you have any links/numbers to back up your statement or is it just based on feelings?
28% of the on property rooms are dvc…and growing

The return rate 25 years ago was north of 40%…every single day. (That’s from many a day in the sundial)…

This is fantasyland…that it’s pulling in all sorts of rookies. That was never Disneys Market and it’s not even reasonable now

Unique?…no

Heightened?…that’s reasonable
Okay thats fair but they also have a product they feel they can keep getting away with doing it….

Again not defending their actions & you know how i feel about Iger/DIS stock but right now these are the rules that they only need a select few percent wise to play by and get away with

If I was a multi-multimillionaire, I wouldn’t spend $499 for a fastpass, especially since I have five people in my family and that would be an extra $2500. Maybe a bitcoin millionaire might do it, but not someone who earned the money.

No matter how many times you crawl out of the bushes and try to present $150 line skips on top of a $150 ticket as “a good deal”…or “smart”…

It makes no empirical sense. Keep plugging.

No ones saying it's a good deal or smart.. it's convenient. How much are those hours spent planning, looking at your phone and waiting in line worth to the visitor?

Either way purchasing this for AK is crazy work, it's not needed

But that’s what Johnny Cochran keeps trying to say: “why wouldn’t you?”

Because it’s double paying for the exact same product. Period. Gambling is a more sound “investment”…

If it’s “I don’t like lines” or “my time is too valuable”…that’s a false premise on two fronts.

1. Amusement parks require lines and always have since Luna park 1888
2. You’re HERE complaining about time.

…that’s always over water huts in bora bora for the eclectic 🤷🏻‍♂️

He doesn't make any logical points. He spills word salad out of his mouth, usually talking about subjective irrelevances, about personal value and tries to make them objective standards. Or he goes off on tangents because he doesn't have any real facts, experience, or skills to bring to a conversation. He's entitled to his opinions, which are as worthless as sand, and really belong in a place that time has passed by, which is fine. But the act is tired and boring.
Question:
What return does a park ticket provide you?

bad customers…which you probably would represent for $1.50 an hour…have turned everything into a paywall…lost in the vanity of thinking blowing money in a mass model amusement enterprise is the ticket to “fortune and glory”…but the neighbors will never care.

How is he a troll? Bc he gives a different view on something? I may not always agree with him but he makes a ton of logical sense more times than not…
How is it logical to say lines are required at amusement parks in a thread about a service that allows you to skip lines at an amusement park?

Also, people may not worry about posting here in their free time but may choose not to spend valuable vacation time standing in lines.

The “troll” part is constantly trying to provoke reactions from people by calling them fools, suckers or unintelligent.

Like i said i dont agree w all. & im here saying paying up unfortunately is somewhat needed & justified …

In regarding amusement parks at least from my pov some wait times and line are expected
