We ended up closing school today. Everyone is posting that it's a thick layer of ice over everything outside. Someone on Facebook posted that they'd rather shovel 10 inches of snow than scrape this ice off their driveway.
Ice is the worst!

We are on a 2 hour delay. Some schools close by closed and some delayed. We got about 5 inches, my husband said there is a little ice under it but not much. I wish we had closed.

We started as a delay, then changed to a full closure. I'll take it, because my voice has been struggling. There are a few of us staff members who have picked something up where we don't feel bad, but are losing our voices. So a day to rest it will be nice.

The like was for the snow day, not all the other stuff.

I think I might go live in NH or upstate New York (never been to Vermont)....another snow storm coming for them. At least you get something nice to look at in the cold weather.

For the record.....I'm a city person. I live in suburbia hell but I'm definitely a city person. I do like the mountains...Not to live all the time though. And I mean like a real city like NYC or Boston.

Here in NY, I just paid $2.95 a gallon at a Gulf station on my way home from work. Passed a Citgo in the next town that was charging $3.15.

Even at its highest, we never paid over $4/gallon, IIRC…? 🤔 It got close, like into the $3.90’s or something around there, though.
Anything under $3/gallon is pretty good, considering they’re still payin’ about $4.50/gallon in Cali.

As far as the whole Pantone Cloud Dancer thing goes (which I never even knew existed before hearing about it on the news)...
It reminds me of a quote from Disney Legend Imagineer John Hench I once read, that went something like “They told me to paint it white. I told them I have 31 shades of white in my color palette, and asked which one they would like.”
Not sure if Cloud Dancer was in his repertoire…???!!!!! 🤔 :hilarious:

I haven't bought a pack of beer in a while so I'm afraid to see the prices.

Yes, I’m sure it is way more expensive for you than for me. I bought just a single can last night (half liter size) which I had planned on sharing with my daughter but by the time we got around to eating I didn’t feel like drinking it. And then tonight I had planned to share it but ended up drinking the can before she got home … and felt way less guilty when she told me she’d souped to have a drink with friends after work.
