More sold out datesLightning Lane Premier Pass is currently showing as sold out on the following dates:
Magic Kingdom: November 22, 23, 24, 25
Hollywood Studios: November 23, 24
And it’s not crowded…Such an interesting balance Disney has to play with "selling out" LLPP.
I would love to see the math on how they are planning to distribute ride capacity between LLPP, LLMP/LLSP, and standby on certain rides.
Trying to "balance" the 3 capacities while making each group want to buy their respective line experience again must be crazy.
I mean... it isn't crowded today... but LLPP isn't sold out for today. It'll be interesting to see how the lines look in a week. And it’s not crowded…
Fans need to really start looking behind the curtain here…
I get seldom travelers get sucked in to FOMO…but the more frequent visitors?…come on…
And it won’t be crowded…proportionally…on the holidays either..I mean... it isn't crowded today... but LLPP isn't sold out for today. It'll be interesting to see how the lines look in a week.
Disney is currently balancing a few things:
This has got to be tough to do on a ride like Pan with it's high demand and horrible capacity.
- Sell as many LLPP as possible
- Give people enough perceived value from LLPP, that they recommend it to people/use it again
- For people that don't buy LLPP, sell as many LLMP/LLSP as possible
- Give people enough perceived value from LLMP/LLSP, that they recommend it to people/use it again
- For people that don't buy any LL, give them enough perceived value that they recommend people come to WDW or return themselves
- Keep everyone happy enough to continue to buy Merch
Super small sample size... but just looking at 7 dwarf mine train:And it won’t be crowded…proportionally…on the holidays either..
Watch it play
You are asking the wrong person…because never in a billion years would I pay extra to go on a 12 year old junior coaster that I’ve been on 20 times…Do you think 7 dwarf won't go over 100 mins this Saturday?
Fair enough point. But the question he asked was “do you think 7dmt will go over 100 minutes on Saturday”. A simple yes or no question. You are asking the wrong person…because never in a billion years would I pay extra to go on a 12 year old junior coaster that I’ve been on 20 times…
To be fair…I’d consider it maybe if I still had smaller kids and didn’t go very much. Maybe.
But I do know that there is way less people pounding the pavement in those parks on a given day than the holiday periods in the 90’s or early 00’s
Wait times come with amusement parks…especially on the days off. That can never be “solved” for everyone. If you want “high class”…go somewhere that offers it…without a dumbo spinner.
I think the standbys should be embraced more. And I was a huge fan of the OG fastpass…so that tells you where I think this has gone.
I have many flaws but lack of memory for the details and background isn’t one of them.
I caution anyone to look at a phone app or social media PR and spend money in excess of the upfront fees for FOMO.
But my situation isn’t that common.
(Well…it is on this board…and yet I feel like there are bogeys in the sky that Have to be repelled every day on these things anyway)
He or she?Fair enough point. But the question he asked was “do you think 7dmt will go over 100 minutes on Saturday”. A simple yes or no question.![]()
You what????He or she?
It’s not a simple question to me…because it’s a cycle of “basketing”
There’s one basket that contains the eggs that say “crowds are dropping and the parks are degrading…don’t cover for their mistakes by buying line skips”
And there’s one basket that contains the chickens obsessed with wait times and buying upsells…
I definitely fall in one…for sure![]()
To clarify, I am a he!He or she?

I doubt it’s necessary…I don’t find the appTo clarify, I am a he!
Also, backing this way up... the conversation went like this:
-LLPP is sold out for XX dates
- You: "And it’s not crowded…"
-Me: Agreed that it isn't crowed today... but LLPP is also not sold out today and the dates it is sold out will probably be busy
-You: "it won't be busy next week compared to 30 years ago"
-Me: "Based on last year, the dates LLPP sold out will probably be quite busy though"
-You:(BTW please don't take offense to the gif, just having fun)![]()
My point is simply that LLPP will be a lot more useful on the days it's currently sold out because historically they are much busier days than today (which we both agree isn't very crowded)
Oh people have been complaining that Disney has been inflating wait times for almost 24 years on this site... however its the best data I have available to tell me if the parks are crowded or not... Unless you know of another source?I doubt it’s necessary…I don’t find the app
All that telling…in my “limited” experience
Short selling it a bit there by leaving out the best feature, you don't have to schedule or plan for rides in anyway shape or form.LLPP = you get one ride on each ride/attraction in a park. I guess that could be considered "useful" if you just want to attempt to do each ride in a park once. But you still are paying a rather high price to be standing with every other LL purchaser who is in line whenever you walk in (pointed comment at the Rise's and Slinky's and 7DMT's and Tron's).![]()
I’m not claiming they’re inflating times…Oh people have been complaining that Disney has been inflating wait times for almost 24 years on this site... however its the best data I have available to tell me if the parks are crowded or not... Unless you know of another source?
I think the use is for the seldom users…which would be attractive to most to considerShort selling it a bit there by leaving out the best feature, you don't have to schedule or plan for rides in anyway shape or form.
There is a below zero chance I will ever pay for it, but I can see how it would be appealing to people who can afford it, don't go often, and hate lines.
