Yup, everyone reacts different to things and I will be the first to admit that even though I am very aware of my age, I am not giving up and won't until something hits me that I cannot will away. I'm so used to pain now that I don't think I would know what to do if it stopped, that I can deal with, but this balance situation is harder to accept. I live in an over age 55 apartment building. There are many here that are much older than I am, and I'm ashamed to say that I am envious of them because the can still seem to walk effortlessly. They probably have problems worse than mine, I just don't know about what those are and many really serious illnesses do not show up externally.I get it. My grandmother is older than you but her balance hasn't been good for a long time. If I fly with her, I insist she get wheelchair assistance in the airport because I'm afraid she's going to fall or get knocked over. I had her get an Apple Watch for the fall detection. Between that and the Alexa's in her house, it makes me feel better, though she kept my cats for a while this summer, and my cousin was terrified my cat Ella was going to trip her (not that my grandmother would have let that stop her; I think she likes the cat more than me). I understand physical therapy can help with that, though maybe not get you back to golfing.
I don't do golf, and I'm not very good at mini golf, so I will take your word for it. Other lil bro (we're not actually related, grew up together and are very close; he calls my mom "mom" in addition to his own mother, I've called his parents in emergencies, if we had kids, we'd be aunt/uncle, etc) definitely deserved the needling about it, though.
I do feel bad for him because he bought a snowboarding pass (I don't understand what the fun of it is, but okay) and he didn't go to Busch Gardens this year with us because he had to pay for that. Whelp, now he can't use it, has to get a medical note so that they'll hold it for him for next year. Right now he's in a sling and can't do anything.
I had surgery on my right ankle in September and still can't walk more than 10-15 steps, so we were walking around a shopping center, him in a sling and me on the knee scooter. He said "anyone asks, we're gonna tell them that they should see the other guy."
I was kinda hoping that someone would have at least said "Your comments are not all that incoherent". Ah, the things I have learned and will probably forget.

Pretty soon Jim is going to need a walker to report on those big storms. Good grief, I remember my Father going on and on about Jim Cantore. My Father passed away 30 years ago so old Jim must be getting pretty long in the tooth. He does look like he is in pretty good physical shape but will be 62 years old in February 2026. Must be from dodging all that hurricane debris.

Yes, here's the deal, for some reason my brain saw 62 and immediately thought about that the same way my 10 year old self would have thought. That's older than dirt. After a little thought and self examination I remembered that when I was 62 I was still two years away from retirement and working full time. I also forgot that when I was 67 I trected all around Paris, Rome, Pompeii, Barcelona and other random places in France, Italy and Spain. It is so hard to admit advanced age, but I'm trying. See, I have so many spry 50 somethings and 60 somethings around me that I look at 60 something and go "you aren't that old." Doesn't help that I currently have a 90 year old grandfather and an 86 year old grandmother. My great grandmother lived until 95; my step grandfather was 99. My great grandmother went to Las Vegas at 94. Apparently she was still out walking people.
