Trip Report It bodes well for me if speed impresses you

In what possibly (and I stress "possibly"), may be the quickest return to WDW that even the exalted @Tuvalu may not have achieved, I will be returning to the parks!

My return from my most recent trip will be 28 days. I will await @Tuvalu 's response to know if she has returned quicker than that. My confidence is high that she most likely has. Could I have messaged her to find out? Sure. But where's the fun in that!

Was this trip planned. Nope. How did it come about?

My good friend who has many DVC contracts and rents out rooms called me about a reservation he had for Boardwalk, (water view) that he needed to rent and it was less than 30 days out so canceling would be a hassle. He offered me an extremely tempting price and I couldn't say no.

But first, I had to run it by the young, hot ball and chain, aka my wife!

Did she say yes? No. Did she say she would think about it? Yes!

Quick back story on my wife. She does not care for Orlando weather between May and October. Any of the other months she is game! I reminded her that this trip would be in her "good to go" window and that she should join me! The seeds of temptation were planted. I let them marrinate without any further discussion for 48 hours.

I currently have several dogs that would be good prospects for training at Disney as well.

Also, keep in mind we have a 10+ day trip booked for the Christmas Holliday. I wasnt sure if she would be cool with travelling down soon only to return within a month and a half.

Did I leave Disney park walk through videos playing on the TV when I left for work each day (before she woke up) in a subtle effort to narcissistically manipulate her emotions? Of course!!

Did it work??????

Update:

Major change of plans for this trip. C is not much better than a few days ago and then today she pulled a muscle. Needless to say she will not be going on this trip. On top of not feeling well, shes extremely bummed out. We were both looking forward to a trip together.

We still have our December trip which is not far off so we will have a trip soon. But it still stinks. Lis, my assistant will be standing by to come help C if she needs anything.

Also, the family of the dog is was going take on this trip had travel plans change and the dog will be with them.

I passed out Candy to trick or treaters this evening and tended to C as I packed. Im exhausted and will be hitting the sack soon! Ill update in the morning once I head out.

Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃
Poor C 😢 Hope she feels better soon!!!

After Rise of the Resistance we did some shopping for C. She wanted this peppermint sweater for our Chrismtas trip.

20251102_175133.jpg

I wanted to purchase this later so we could ride our next attraction without a bag. I just wanted to locate the sweater first.

We headed over to Runaway Railway

20251102_183513.jpg

I saw a video a week ago about MMRR and how when Mickey says "i think I hit that track switch" , part of the mission is to switch it back, and at the end of the ride you see this scene where Mickey hangs from the switch amd turns it off

20251102_183836.jpg

I have no idea if this is accurate or not, but if so, its pretty cool and I never noticed it.

I had a LL for ToT but when we arrived they said the LL queue was appx 40 minute wait due to one side of the tower being down. The regular line was 110 minutes. We opted not to ride so I headed back to get the peppermint sweater and we caught the boat over to Ale and Compass to catch Sunday night football. I only stayed for 2 beers and ordered the French onion soup flatbread pizza to bring back to the room

This thing was seriously good. I devoured it.

Edith was passed out.

I finished my pizza and it was bed time!

I inhaled some of that flatbread with you, it does look like it was very, very good, I can see Miss Edith is absolutely knocked out from being so beautiful all day today!

This morning on my way to work I was watching a live youtuber whom I frequently listen to on my ride to work to help pass time. I happened to look down at the screen at a stop light and who did I see? A familiar looking dude in a white V-neck t-shirt! You had just walked up to her and were talking about how you and your wife watch her at home! For some reason in that moment I was so excited as I saw you in live time instead of just reading your trip reports! Had a quick glimpse of Edith as well when you guys parted ways! Now I need to go back and start reading this report :)

We watch Janel as well! I heard her voice and turned around and it was her. C was asleep at home but watched it later and sent me a Pic

View attachment 891208

We watch Janel a lot too! Now I'll have to go watch it, I was at that pesky place that I work at today so I couldn't watch live.

It was finally time to visit MK! I woke up (no alarm) around 6 am and wasnt able to fall back asleep so I figured it would be another rope drop day! Walked Edith, showered, coffee, and we were off!

The Holliday decorations are up and its Christmas at MK

I had about 10 minutes to kill before they started allowing early entry so i went on a mission. I trained a dog for a young lady who used to work at The Emporium. I asked some ladies behind the counter if they knew her. Their response: yes!

So of course I had to get a Pic and send it to her. They allowed me to go behind the counter

20251103_082306.jpg

They were so sweet and we had a fun time. I absolutely love moments like this. Same as yesterday at Epcot. The CMs are just awesome.

And as many of you already know, I saw a vlogger that we watch back home and said hello. She was kind enough to let me give a shout out to my wife back home. C sent me a screenshot from the live stream

IMG_20251103_110953.jpg

Ive seen many livestream vloggers in the parks and some have gigantic rigs they are filming with and they dont seem to care about those around them, but Janel is not like that at all. She basically had a camera on a gimbul and that was it. She was talking at a low level and you wouldn't even know she was live streaming. I sersiously respect that and she was so sweet. It was a pleasure to meet her.

The early entry started and Edith headed straight towards Seven Dwarves Mine Train. JK. We rope drop People Mover around these parts!

20251103_083727.jpg

We exited and saw this...

20251103_083129.jpg

The line for Tron. Yikes!

The weather was great and we walked around exploring until official park opening at 9 am and then we rope droped HM

I took this picture of Edith in the bypass area. Did I catch a happy haunt in the photo?

I thought it would be cool to wear my sunglasses for the on ride photo but it backfired

I basically look like a guy with a seeing eye dog (per @darstar) who i sent this pic too. And @Tuvalu pointed out that we are both looking in opposite directions. I failed on sooo many levels lol!

That french onion soup flatbread looks delicious. My WDW is 80 days and that is too far to wait for it, so I looked up some recipes and found a few. Sounds like I will be putting it on the menu for next week. And then of course I'll have to taste test Disney's right?
What a great idea! You've gotta post some pics when you make it at home! And please send me the recipe!!

I needed to go by the Sunglass Hut amd saw that POtC was a 5 min wait so we hopped on that first. Ride at the photo Edith turned around amd looked away from the camera smh

1931316442_HIGH.jpg

I needed to go by sunglass hut to get the rope thingy that holds the sunglasses around your neck. Im not a fan of wearing stuff around my neck but these sunglasses are so light they always feel like theyre gonna fall of the top of my head.

As i entered the shop, One of the craziest moments ive ever experienced out with a dog was about to occur. I approached the register and there were people checking out so I stood way back and had Edith on my left side next to a display case. A man came around the corner and started walking directly towards us. Keep in mind that Edith is on my left and sitting down next to a large display case and theres absolutely no room to walk around her as the display case is about 5-7 feet wide.

The man walks directly at Edith and is trying to get passed her. He had all the room he needed to pass on my side but he decided he wanted to start something apparently.

He stops right in front of Edith and is standing there. Im used to people approaching and looking at her but he was inches away from her. As I sais excuse me Sir, he pushes his leg between her and the display case I immediately grabbed him and pulled him away and I asked if he was ok? He says nothing. He then proceeds to ram into me in a back and forth motion. I was so confused and thought he was perhaps mentally challenged. He looked to be about 50-60 years old. He then turns sideways and is ramming his shoulder into me. I asked again (loudly enough for a CM to hear me) "Sir are you ok"? I notice the CM look up and she saw what was happening. The man got a bit more aggressive with his ramming into me and I finally said "you need to watch yourself" with a chuckle to my voice.

I dont say this in a bragging way but I work out 5 days a week and I could absolutely withstand his ramming into me and I could tell that pushing him away would be easy. I had my left hand on Ediths collar in case she got upset (she does do protection work and if she bites its gonna cause damage but she won't do anything unless told) amd this guy was pushing it.

This was all in about a 10 second period which seemed like forever. The CM was watching so I was being sure not do anything drastic so it would be clear he started and continued this issue in case it got worse. I was just thinking about all the fights you see online at Disney and I was not about to be the star of one, especially with a dog.

I finally put my hand on his arm and gently pushed him away to my right side. He then pulls a 360 degree maneuver and gets one last ram in and walks away. He never said a word to me. Just light grunting as he kept ramming into me. The CM at the register was standing there with big eyes and a confused look.

I approached the register and said I just need a strap for my sunglasses. She asked what happened and I said I had no idea. Her and the ither CM recognized me as they were the ones who sold me the glasses a few weeks ago so the conversation shifted to that and I was glad for things to be normal again.

I got my strap and sent a Pic to C

20251103_095039.jpg

I sent her the pic because she's always suggested I buy the strap instead of keeping the glasses on my head if they fall off and I always insisted that I would not buy one, but here.I am.

I quickly got a text naxk saying "will you admit i was right"?? Lol

I took Edith for a quick bathroom break and saw Mermaid was a 5 min wait. As we walked there i was thinking about the incident with the man. I honestly believe he was trying to start something to have a potential lawsuit. I think he noticed edith and I and thought that he would either get bit or start a fight with me and sue disney and/or myself. It's the only thing that seems to make sense.

He didnt try to fight me, but I think he was trying to get me to start something.

Either way, soon we were on Mermaid

Ears up for King Triton!

We brosed around the shops and made our way back to the front of the park to get on the monorail. I got some Holliday decorations pics

I am, still, trying to wrap my head around what on earth that man was up to! He was lucky Edith is so well trained!! You handled the situation very impressively and I am disappointed the CMs didn't do anything. At the very least, notify security of the odd behavior!
Couldn't have said this better, 9000 I'm happy both you and EE were not provoked into a potential problem. I was reading along expecting the CM to take assistive action, then disappointed, but not surprised, when she didn't.
I know you shook it off and went on to enjoy the Magic!

I decided to run a load of laundry because I had bought 5 new v neck shirts for this trip and even tho C washed them I felt like they need one more wash for the cotton to feel better.

While the clothes were washing I went to the pool to for a swim but Elisabeth called me for work related stuff and i was on the phone for 45 minutes. I put my clothes in the dryer while i was on the phone.

I did wind up jumping in eventually and the water was FREEZING even tho it was nearly 80 degrees out. It was refreshing nonetheless. I got zero pics

Off to HS after a shower. I stopped to make sure the starring nun is still.at Backlot Epxress. And she was

20251103_160455.jpg

If youve never seen this. Its cool. You can walk anywhere and she'll be starring directly at you. Spooky!

Next stop was Baseline to see an old friend. Its Mike!

20251103_170558.jpg

Always good to see him. I got the Scrimshaw Pilsner and found a seat outside.

20251103_173546.jpg

I had a LL for Smugglers Run but I just wasn't in the mood. I was enjoying a slow pace so I walked over to Galxys Edge and got a beer at Docking Bay 7 amd just strolled around.

I saw a woman coming down the stairs with a beer in her hand amd she tripped and tumbled down the steps but didnt drop her beer! It was awesome. She did look injured tho. Hope shes ok.

I decided to ride Star Tours as I exited GE.

I put Edith in the kennel and was seated in an empty shuttle

20251103_174500.jpg

20251103_174526.jpg

The CM said that I may be riding by myself unless they have a group arrive. I was curious what he meant.

I sat there in an empty shuttle for a few minutes. I made a video and sent it to C. Then , from the exit area, a group started loading in. I quickly noticed that the group was primarily special needs children. It took awhile for the loading process to complete but soon we were ready for take off.

I was in the back row and I usually like to hoot and holler throughout the ride but I decided staying quiet would be best amd let the kids enjoy it without me potentially bothering them. To my surprise, everybody started hooting and hollering and I joined in. It was awesome. Start to finish was a blast and it was one of the the more enjoyable and excitable rides ive had on Star Tours in awhile.
