Trip Report It bodes well for me if speed impresses you

In what possibly (and I stress "possibly"), may be the quickest return to WDW that even the exalted @Tuvalu may not have achieved, I will be returning to the parks!

My return from my most recent trip will be 28 days. I will await @Tuvalu 's response to know if she has returned quicker than that. My confidence is high that she most likely has. Could I have messaged her to find out? Sure. But where's the fun in that!

Was this trip planned. Nope. How did it come about?

My good friend who has many DVC contracts and rents out rooms called me about a reservation he had for Boardwalk, (water view) that he needed to rent and it was less than 30 days out so canceling would be a hassle. He offered me an extremely tempting price and I couldn't say no.

But first, I had to run it by the young, hot ball and chain, aka my wife!

Did she say yes? No. Did she say she would think about it? Yes!

Quick back story on my wife. She does not care for Orlando weather between May and October. Any of the other months she is game! I reminded her that this trip would be in her "good to go" window and that she should join me! The seeds of temptation were planted. I let them marrinate without any further discussion for 48 hours.

I currently have several dogs that would be good prospects for training at Disney as well.

Also, keep in mind we have a 10+ day trip booked for the Christmas Holliday. I wasnt sure if she would be cool with travelling down soon only to return within a month and a half.

Did I leave Disney park walk through videos playing on the TV when I left for work each day (before she woke up) in a subtle effort to narcissistically manipulate her emotions? Of course!!

Yesterday ctd...

The World Series Game 7 was starting at 8 so we had a short visit to HS for 2 things.

1. Ride ToT of course!

Im back row center. The woman on my right didnt seem happy to be seated next to man. I could be wrong but as I sat down she gave me a look and I could feel the energy. Me being me, I decided to make things awkward and test my theory. The CM doing seat belt check was very monotone with her instructions. So I said to the woman next to me to me, "I wonder if her monotone voice is part of the act to seem creepy". She said nothing, didnt even acknowlege me, lol.

I did my best to sit still and not make any contact with her. You never know. Maybe she was having a bad day or she's had some experience I dont know about. But judging by the ride photo it looks like she enjoyed the drop and that's what's important.

2. C sent me on a mission for a spirit jersey she wanted. She sent me a photo and Edith I proceeded to our mission and after some guidance from a CM we went to Keystone Clothier...

Edith enjoyed the cold tile floor while I located the jersey.

Bingo!! But...they didnt have size small. Luckily the CM was able to locate one and we were set. C was thrilled. I joked that her flu and pulled muscle had still not slowed down her shopping even across state lines!

I had placed an Instacart order before we left rhe room. I needed a few things but primarily Ediths food. She eats a raw diet. Yes, raw meat and bones. The small Disney fridge can only hold so much so Ill need to order food every other day for her.
I received a notice that the order had been canceled due to an issue with the delivery location?? It showed the address as disney's boardwalk Resort, so not sure what the mess up was.But nonetheless, I had to replace the order and it showed it would not arrive until 945 p m. Edith needed to eat so I just got her some chicken strips from Rosie's

I removed to fried skin. And look whose ears are up all the sudden

She enjoyed her lunch and I snacked on the fries. It was getting close to game time so we headed back to the resort.

I attempted an ears up photo on the way out but only got one ear. Ill take it

A woman approached and was looking directly at me. She was walking quickly and with purpose. She got right up to me and asked "what's his name" in a stunning voice. She said in a way as if she possibly knew "him" aka Edith. People often assume she is a male since she is 80 lbs and solid muscle. I usually reply with "He, has a vagina" but we are are at Disney so I simply replied, Her name is Sarah. Her response was to immediately go into a story about her working with a company that trains dogs. I wasnt sure how Ediths name played a role in her story lol but she went on to tell me more and more.

She chatted a bit more and I was ready to go so I told her "thanks for all the good work you do for the people who need the dogs and that we needed to get back to our hotel. She said have a nice night and walked away. I waited a moment so there would be some space between us and I didnt know which direction she was going. And then, as she was walking away, she turned around, looked at me and smiled, HAHAHAHA!! I still got it! I was flattered.

Edith and I had a nice stroll back to the resort. I stopped by the room to freshen up and then we headed back out to catch the game!

Upon further inspection, all 3 look to be cut from the same cloth.

A real joy to be around at parties I bet.



Sounds like several escapees from the nuthouse are on the loose down there. May you and Edith come across less wackos today.

Saturday ctd...

Our location to watch the World Series was Ale and Compas Lounge at Yacht Club.

I took a risk and ordered their specialty old fashion. If you recall my experience at Territory Lounge a few weeks ago, the "burbouns" i ordered were anything but lol.

This one came out less fruity than I expected and was actually pretty good

Here's how its described on the menu

The minute maid orange juice had me concerned but it mixed quite well.

Edith promptly fell asleep by the 2nd inning

For the next round I simply ordered a whisky to play it safe

The game was heating up and Edith woke up from all the ruckus. She gave me her best is going on expression

There were several tables around us enjoying the game and we were all having a good time. Ale and Compass has been home to many sporting events for me ever since Crews Cup changed their menu. Tonight was no exception.

For round 3, I ordered my food (to go) and dared to try another "specialty" whiskey. The Territory Lounge curse had come back to haunt me. This is what came out

In my personal opinion, I dont think any whiskey drink should be presented in a Martini style glass. The drink was not bad at all, but I give the presentation a 0.

After the game, we headed back to the room with our food and edith's dinner was delivered as well. I ordered the pub cheeseburger and added the specialty french fries, which I forgot what they called them lol

The burger and fried were excellent despite the appearance.

Ediths were up for the elevator

And we saw tje lady from HS (that was clearly infatuated with me ) getting off the elevator. She said, "ill definitely see you around"

We woke up around 615 am and after showering and coffee I figured we would rope drop Epcot. Remy was up first and so we're Ediths ears for the doors

The plan for the morning was to take it slow and do some shopping. The universe had other plans for us, but they were good plans.

SSE was great and my ride photo actually came out ok!

Ears up for Edith at the end of the attraction, which is where the morning got interesting.

As we arrived to the exit area of the ride, it stopped. After a few minutes there was an ancy family in front of us. We had only been stopped about 2 minutes and then they must have asked if they could walk over the doors of the ride and leave (I couldnt hear what they said). The CM said (in a snarky but absolutely hilarious tone) "no, you have to wait for the doors to actually open before you can exit". I was cracking up.

About 30 seconds later the ride started back up and we were able to hop off. As I exited, I saw the CM that told them they had to wait and I thanked them for the laugh it gave me. We started chatting about the crazy things you hear people say or do. As I was about to leave he asked if i wanted to ride Cosmic Rewind. I replied , yes, always! He said hold on, and then grabbed the iPad and said I'll give you a magic moment. I thanked him for his kindness.

He tried to add the LL for Cosmic Rewiind but it didnt show up in the app on my phone. He tried again and then told me to refresh the app. I refreshed it and then it showed both LL's he had made. I told him he could delete one but he said I could keep both and said to ride TT after Cosmic Rewind. I was not about to argue with him I insisted on a picture together before we left

I headed out, a wiser man with 2 LL's. What an experience to meet such an incredible CM with an awesome sense of humor. I was on cloud 9. I could have used the LL's for any attraction i wanted but I kept it true to what he said to use them for. And Cosmic Rewind and Test Track are pretty good choices!

Back to back bangers at Cosmic Rewind (got One Way or Another for the song) and TT was great. I like the new version so much more than the previous.

We had knocked out Remy, SSE, Comsic Rewind and TT. It was tine for some food!

Now its time to snack! I had been eyeing the Brussel sprouts with root vegetables at the Bramblewood booth. They also have an apple cider old fashion so of course I got one.

Bith were amazing. The Brussels were a good portion. The old fashion was surprisingly strong amd well balanced.

For dessert I stopped next door at the Milled and Mulled booth and got the carrot cake

This thing was bonkers good! I may get another one next time I come by epcot.

Edith snacked on some water

I took my time so Edith could rest and soon she was ready to go!

I stopped by Canada for a La Fin

I realized it was getting close to 1pm and I had to set my fantasy football line up so I sat down by the stage in Canada

Edith was enchanted by this bird picking up crumbs.

It was back to the room for a shower and then off to watch some football.

After a shower and lunch for Edith we headed over to Martha's Vineyard at Beach Club to watch some football.

This was my first time here and it was great. It was a purely packed house as they have tvs all over and it felt like a sports bar but looks more themed to, well, Martha's Vineyard lol. Ill definitely be back.

The pre show was down and apparently so was the ship you get on amd get captured. They had everyone just go down the back hall they use for single rider and enter the space port.

On the ride, Manny effects were down and Kylo Ren was in B mode.

This wasnt a big deal for me as ive ridden many times but for anybody who paid the $24 dollars for LL should have gotten a refund. Or for anybody riding for the first time it was probly confusing as to what was happening.

This morning on my way to work I was watching a live youtuber whom I frequently listen to on my ride to work to help pass time. I happened to look down at the screen at a stop light and who did I see? A familiar looking dude in a white V-neck t-shirt! You had just walked up to her and were talking about how you and your wife watch her at home! For some reason in that moment I was so excited as I saw you in live time instead of just reading your trip reports! Had a quick glimpse of Edith as well when you guys parted ways! Now I need to go back and start reading this report
