I think their strategy is to raise prices and offer discounts. Then they can adjust prices based on demand.All signs, though, are that attendance and hotel occupancy is far below the norm and continues to fall. That's why we are seeing so many unusual offers being made right now. Yet Disney still chose to roll out a new price increase. They didn't have to lower prices. They could have built a great deal of goodwill by simply announcing they were keeping prices the same for another year.
I agree with you on the good will, but that's Disney's problem not mine. As a consumer I have choices. It's only a problem for people that can't break away from Disney. I can't blame a corporation for charging more if people continue to pay the higher prices. That is how capitalism and the free markets work.
