The original King Palms looked the best, in my opinion.

The entrance was glorious in the early 1980s….before the dark times.

Not my photo, but the 1999 trees that replaced the tall palm trees from opening day are gone and replaced with smaller palm trees.

Go sprinkle some palm fert around their bases - daily......

I would argue that the restoration of the original entrance was the only positive development out of the entire EPCOT re-imagining. I don't really count Test Track 3.0 because we know GM put up the money for that.

I would have to agree....well the second thing was they got rid of the paint colors that plagued the Communicore plaza and got them to look at the original architecture again...though the final product was blander than I hoped (mostly just Creations)...

Yes, I do agree that the current entrance is quite nice and much better then the atrocious ‘gravestones’ LaL monolith version.
Yeesh that was such a awful period…

However, those tall palm tree from the days of yore are still missed flanking SSE and added a classy visual touch.
The flagpoles are just not the same to my eyes.
