Don’t know how it’s going to turn out but they theoretically have over $700 million USD to work with. That is a lot of money. Cars land was just a bit over $400 million and Pandora is $500 million, both of which are fully immersive and massive in size at over 10 acres. Since this money was supposed to go towards that groundbreaking Quinjet ride system, there is potentially a lot of left over money for projects outside Marvel.
Pandora was closer to double that.

i wonder why the original spiderman TOT concept got scrapped...feels like a sudden change considering the fact that they announced it just over a year ago
We don't know if it has or if the other Avengers are just making a cameo in the ride as it's always been set in an Avengers building. The A can be seen in the original concept art

Are you sure? Galaxy's Edge was a billion each not Pandora.

If you include all of the supplementary work that went into DAK during this era I think it was close to a billion. Night safari, Rivers of Light, Harambe Market, Tiffins/Nomad, Tree of Life Awakenings, FOTLK theatre and general infrastructure works on and off-stage.

fair point, but from the description it sounds like the plot got a total overhaul; the previous iteration specifically mentioned the attraction being spider-man-centric, with doctor octopus as the main antagonist, while the updated description is more ambiguous. the ride vehicle also looks to be different from the original concept

Yes, I’m sure. Pandora was very expensive.

Pandora was around half a billion to open. The GEs were 1.05b each (give or take local considerations) to open.

The current castle is around 50m while all tot are 55m+, I wonder if hk’s tot will be taller than the castle or not.
Interesting point here. I think besides not trying to take concept art as an interpretation of literal scale, there's likely a desire to not have it be taller than the castle, even though the two are quite a distance apart from each other I'd imagine?

This will be the only castle park with a ToT, so.

Am I right in thinking that Autopia was lower down than the rest of Tomorrowland? This new attraction is replacing Autopia so could always be built lower than it looks?? It definitely looks shorter that ToT, but not sure if its a force perspective thing too

I actually don’t have a particular problem with this

I think Disney has realised that marvel just doesnt have the draw it once did and is scrambling to tie off projects that it started when everyone still had marvel fever

The TOT’s are easy to swap around show scenes and I’d rather them just get it done so they can get started on something that really blows guests away. A new park headliner; because as soon as this wasn’t quinjet it was never going to be this ride

Pretty disappointed that the Pixar themed area will be a show
I’d rather have TSMM + Alien Saucers over that site
The park needs more attractions than entertainment
There are already Lion King + Wondrous Book + Moana + Playhouse in the Woods (Frozen) + Castle Stage Show to offer

completely agree. TSL expansion plot looks a bit larger than your average theater, i wonder if theres still gonna be space ofr a flat ride or two
